the decimal point comment was not meant to be critical, just a joke. i guess i should learn how to use punctuation to convey winky smiley faced things if i'm going to participate in these forums without offending everyone. your efforts are much appreciated. i can do fractions and long division if needed. don't be so sensitive (see, that last bit is criticism)

Oh, fear not. I was not offended. I liked the idea, whether it was a joke or not!

It's nice to be on the other side of a thrown game for once. The top of the table battle on the other side had some impressive ratings though.

Are you planning on having replacements in time for our game? Please say no.

Yea, I'm glad you didn't normal. I would have felt bad. I've got a tough cup game this week, and I needed to win the TV/rival game for my fan survey, so my game with you pulled the short straw.

Cow Lickers have been pretty steady with good ratings. That rating average is one of the top all season (I haven't done this week's yet). Only behind me vs. Eclypze, you vs. Thunderhorse, and you vs. Chicken Hawks. It seems he belongs around the top of the rankings.

I reasoned that you'd either play guys in position and be weak outside, or you'd play guys out of position and be weak outside. So far your pattern has been two games on, one game off for your star, and I fell on the good part of that rotation. I imagine things get less predictable in a couple weeks. Cow Lickers wasn't the only team in that game with good ratings either. Both are still contenders.

You reasoned correct! And hang on.. are reasoning that my team my be weak outside?? Where did you get that idea????

I take nothing away from The Door Mats. He plays a very unique style - low salary players and average ratings performing very well. I used to think it was a fluke, but it's clearly not.

However, even last night, his ratings were pretty average. Just a quick glance here are some of the top ratings last night (apologies if I missed anyone, I haven't completed the rankings yet):

1. Cow Lickers: 7.8
1. Demon Hoosiers: 7.8
1. CA Foreigners: 7.8
4. Fern Creek: 7.6
5. Lumberjacks: 7.2
5. Blazing Ninjas: 7.2
5. Lakey: 7.2
8. The Door Mats: 7.0

Right now I put Cow Lickers as the favorite over there, with The Door Mats and Foreigners close behind. And then you at the top of our side, with a train wreck right behind you that includes (but is not limited to) Fern Creek, Eclypze, and NATELLIO! Maybe Chicken Hawks can join the wreck. And Thunderhorse. Oh and Blazing Ninjas. And I guess the Rebels beat me... so them too.

Yeah, when home court, effort, and blowout are taken into account, it looks even better for me. I'm assuming the fairly lengthy garbage time reduced my ratings some. All that said, I'm still not all that confident going into the playoffs with this team.

I didn't expect those ratings. If you look a little closer at my team ratings from that game you'll see that my highest player rating came from my SF! I think that's the first time that's happened for me.
I hope that I can beat East Gary Eagles tonight so I can say I went undefeated because when I play the other division Ill be happy to go .500.

Thought I'd sneak this in before the non-conference games start.

Big news from the last ranking update is that Demon Hoosiers cruised through the tough part of his schedule, and already has a firm grasp on home court for the playoffs. Also, East Gary Eagles pulled the big upset on Cow Lickers, to level the playing field in the Great 8. Fern Creek, as expected, has landed on his feet with 3 straight wins. Also news worth yin the Big 8 is the sale of a couple high salary guys from Eclypze. We'll see what his next move is.

Still 8 teams left in the cup, so there's certainly a little tanking going on for those cup win bonuses as those games get tougher.

POWER RANKINGS
1. Demon Hoosiers, 21.0
2. Cow Lickers, 12.6
3. Fern Creek, 9.7
4. The Door Mats, 8.3
5. CA Foriegners, 7.5
6. Thunderhorse, 5.4
7. Chicken Hawks, 3.4
8. Lumberjacks, 2.2
9. Blazing Ninjas, 1.2
10. Eclypze, -1.5
11. lakey, -2.9
12. East Gary, -3.8
13. Vulgar Flower, -5.1
14. Natellio, -5.8
15. Beavers, -10.2
16. Mt. Zion Rebels, -15.6
