Yes, I'm thinking the same.
With all the money he has, he could now build an incredible team, if he want. But I don't know if he want: maybe he prefers training, I hope...

Looks like they're more likely to train, since they brought in a trainee a few days ago that cost over 400k - of course, that probably just means he'll be up for sale in a week for 799k . They've ended up spending more on the TL than they've made on sales, so they've only just recently started expanding their arena.

I suppose that's the game's way for making up for the fact that I had the worst godawful starting roster possible, while you actually got some decent trainees, or for the fact that I started my first arena expansion hours before you and yours finished days earlier.

If it makes you feel any better, I did just fire a scrub today to drop down under 50k in salaries. I don't think I'll hold you off long-term anyhow. But I think making the playoffs with salaries almost 20k below the floor is a nice goal to aim for.

Your expansion was bigger than mine (I'm pretty sure anyhow).

I had moderately usable trainees and I pulled Shen for 1k really early. My plan is just to make sure that I promote and have some trainees coming along and decent income.

Nope, it was 2 luxury boxes also.

Yeah, I had crap early, but I suppose that's better in a way. I had been trying to decide if I wanted to try to do a homegrown team or not and about whether I was going to be all-Utopian the whole time or if I was going to buy foreign players. My roster made that decision for me - either of those options would have essentially meant a season or more of not winning any games. I've spent my whole life to this point not winning games in Utopia for free, so I figured why pay extra to do that?

My horrible run of road games starts today. I'd say I have ~12% chance to win today's game and it's not going to get too much better.

I screwed up and forgot to check yesterday to see when the game was, so when I remembered this morning to set my lineup, my game was already in the second quarter. Still won, fortunately, but training is screwed for the week.
