Wow... so then a Center would have no way to get 100% training from one-on-one then?

You can even train 1vs1 for PG/SG positions. It changes slightly the trained skillsets (Dr, Ha, JS vs Dr,Ha,JS and IS). this is the kind of knowledge you'll have to learn first.

As @lemonshine stated the use of coachParrot and/or train sim is a must for the beginners.

You are correct. There are 3 types of training in the game:
- 1 position training. Training where the maximum training is achieved by playing 48:00 minutes at a given position. They include: Pressure (PG; main skill trained OD), Passing (PG, skill trained PA), Ball Handling (PG, HA), Outside Shooting (SG, trains JR), Shot Blocking (C, SB), Inside Shooting (C, IS), Inside Defense (C, ID).
- 2 position training. For these the best possible training is 48:00 minutes at either of 2 positions (or a combination of them). They include: One on One (PG+SG or SF+PF), Jump Shot (PG+SG or SG+SF or SF+PF) and Rebounding (PF+C). Not that you cannot train Jump Shots for trainees who played PG and SF in the same week.
- team training: FT, Stamina, Game Shape. Nothing to see here. Most people train these sometimes in the weeks with only 2 games (all star game if you're out of the cup and playoff weeks)

Note that instead of the best possible training (detailed above) you have a number of subpar options which will not give you the fastest increase in skill, such as:
- training 1 position training regimes for 2 positions (like Pressure at PG+SG) or
- training 1 position training for a different position than the standard one (for example Pressure for SG, Inside Shot for SF, Jump Shot for PF+C, Rebounding for PG+SG)

In order to understand what happens and what speed of training we are talking about I suggest you check Rhyminsimon training simulator or Josef Ka Coach Parrot (they are file excel that you can download from the web and are fairly accurate in telling you how fast skills train)

Training six guys (age 18-21) in 1-on-1 for forwards gave me around 7-8 pops on average every week.

If you like to see some quick progress, this is the most exciting training to do.

We all knew about your hardships with numbers, but now also English? The OP was asking about FASTEST POPS and I replied:
- 1 position training. Training where the maximum training is achieved by playing 48:00 minutes at a given position...
- 2 position training. For these the best possible training is 48:00 minutes at either of 2 positions ...
- team training:...

Note that instead of the best possible training (detailed above) you have a number of subpar options ...
I also invite you to stop spreading misinformation. You just need to take the data of the US website: 3 position training is about half as fast as 2 position training (sometimes less than half sometimes a little more). Now, since you have trouble computing that, I will point out that 6*100%*x=6x and 9*60%*x=5.4x...

Team training, especially if you assume you train 12-15 guys would be faster overall, but so slow individually that honestly I'm not sure whether you're serious or not. Besides the obvious underlying assumption there is that ALL or MANY of a team's players are in fact trainable at a meaningful speed, something which is not true for 99.9% of the teams in this game.

And even assuming ALL the players are trainable and they are given 48 minutes in a week anybody (and probably you first) will tell you how bad of an idea that is for short term and long term success. Short term you have a lot of young players improving slowly. In the long term the players can't be sold early for a decent profit, not they will sell for good money being substantially worse than similar players of their age.

Anyway I was told that 2 position pressure, for example, gave more than 50% of 1 position
That is the case. And it is also the case that it does not give you the fastest pops. For the record I have trained 2 position training (including pressure) on 5 players in the first 2 seasons of Utopia.

The data might not be reliable for 3 position, but 2 position Pressure seemed mind bogglingly slow, compared to when I got 3 better trainees and trained it 2 position.

Take some Japanese, perhaps then you'll understand why your mind is so different than mine. It wont be easy for you. DOn't try to clown. Its like a fatman telling me I can't run. Its just funny.
You seem to assume that:
a) I'm English to begin with
b) I can't speak/understand any language other than English (like, for example, Chinese, French, Finnish, Spanish, Italian)
c) I don't know anything about Japan

Lots and lots of assumptions lol, so befitting American stereotypes. Yeah, you are indeed the fatso telling other people they can't run. (y)
