Curious lang ako if players have almost the same stats but experience wise laki ang difference bcoz of age does experience really has a big effect on a players performance? I read somewhere before experience plays a big part especially in the 4th quarter just trying to confirm if it true.

Yes - absolutely. I posted here before, many seasons ago regarding this topic. I estimate about 20% overall performance boost for more experienced players. Back then, I had two players with identical skill sets in the same position. One was 26 or 27 the other was 33 or 34. I don't remember exactly. I can attest to this. Ash followed the same pattern and he dominated us for a few seasons. The problem with having an old core is the small window that you have to win championships. So it might be feasible for 3 or 4 seasons but eventually you still have to buy replacements.

With the market being so high for players. I resorted to training younger guys and relegate. I hope to get 1 mvp or higher in this draft for u21, Based on my scouting isa lang ang player na iyon. Congrats pala for making it to the finals and greedy for winning the cup.

I semi disbanded my team last season after fighting for HCA last season and ended up still losing in the PO (to Greedy). Sold most of the older players coz I saw the league was getting old and thought if I had younger players I could get an upper hand when the other teams try to revamp. Guess young players needs more experience to play better. But I already had an inkling I would lose to Greedy when I saw his players GS.

A former old champ with several cup and league titles told me his way before was to get rid of players before they get to 33 yo. I guess PPL before was a lot different than it is nowadays if he could do what he did and still win multiple titles.

My trainees are still being outperformed by my older players pero humahabol na kaunti sa performance.

Which leads us to another question, what is the recipe for a championship team. In terms of experience, strategy and salary make up. It would be interesting to know the different perspectives on this, although syempre since competitive and PPL Im sure each of the championship coaches would have a secret ingredient they may not disclose:) I remember Obi's team when I first entered PPL great experience, great GS, hehe kawawa kami. I can only imagine sila remedial kings and Celestial wrath dati. Si greedy mukhang dynasty team na din!

Strategy ni obi before was to load up on vets, hindi naman secret yon. Pagbumagsak ang skills - palit. Simple lang. I think i was the first team sa pinas to use blocking as a strategy. Effective sa b3. From sf-to center.

Malas ako lagi pag finals laging may baldado. I am not making an excuse for losing baka ma misinterpret ako. The older teams had it easier kasi wala silang salary cap ang you can buy good players for $1.

Sakin it's sticking and maintaining the core of your team. Saka ung about sa vets, mahirap tlaga manalo kapag puros bata ang team, dapat good mix tlaga.. Parang sa tunay na buhay din, haha!
