But, hey! You won the game!

Don't ask what sort of Chunks they are, you probably don't want to know. Blowing Chunks since Season 4!

I just noticed that I forgot to adjust my lineup for the last game to account for the injury.
And I went ahead and played Normal.
I don't know why, but I lol'd instead of being upset.

The problem with finishing with no less than 14 wins every season for the past five seasons, and averaging 16.75 wins the past four, is that I just don't feel like I want to spend my scouting points in the draft. Without a top 5 draft pick, that there's little hope of getting a serious rookie. But now I have enough scouting points to come near close to scouting an entire draft class, and I'm probably looking at pick no better than #9, probably lower. Unfortunately, with the Big 8 looking like 5 or 6 teams will finish with a losing record, even losing the rest of my games won't get me anything better than #8, and even then I'm thinking 10 wins more likely gets a team the #9 or 10 pick. The last time I think I spent any points (20 of them, as I recall), I landed Terry Seymour with the #11 pick. Getting Briscoe the draft before, though, was the last time I actually got a real draft pick. It's been that long. I guess I'll probably be going even longer, too, since Seymour was decent for #11, but he's never going to start an important game in this league. Buying expensive rookies from the TL is probably more cost effective than buying scouting points at this point.

For me, I agree with you. I would rather spend 600 or 700k on a trained 19 or 20 year old with the skill set I want than dump money into the draft which I never get anything.

If i were you I would still be keeping your points, until D.II where you will probably have a top 6 pick. The luxury of being almost able to scout an entire draft is amazing though. You'll have such a sense of power.

Along with this topic... Sorry for the Big 8 sucking every year It is quite nice to be on this side, but is very unfortunate for everyone that gets stuck on that side for seasons on end. This is why I am still favor of the suggestion awhile back, where the league gets scrambled every year so maybe you, Sherlock, Anchorage, and some of the others don't have to draw the short end of the stick every season.

That hasn't worked out so well for me. I seem to be cursed to draft in the teens and... wait, is that a bad thing?

Wait a minute who is drawing the short end of the stick? All it takes is a crazy half brained plan of tanking your last couple games, risking demotion, to build up revenue to target injured and older players that get no love right before the playoffs the season before. Just so you can build up an elite team for as cheaply as one can possibly do it for a one shot championship push and it still puts you in a financial tough spot. But other than that, promoting from this side easy.
