I am willing to suffer a loss of some training if it means they will make a fun, realistic, interesting GE. We are all just sick of LI now.

The adjustment to shot blocking might affect LI, but i don't see how it makes the GE more realistic. As it is, LI is already goofy in the way it punishes guards that have good JS/JR. In real life you need some outside shooters in the backcourt to provide spacing. In BB, the lower the guards JS/JR the more effective they are.

BB managers have focused on building counterintuitive, specialized players for LI. Other tactics haven't had the focus of the community, though managers are starting to work on building the right pieces for outside offenses.

I wouldn't be surprised if in 10-15 seasons there will be much debate about motion and RNG being too powerful.

I just know I'm going to be furious in season 93 when Princeton/FCP get nerfed. ;)

That's when they finally address the issue with PG's playing at center? I needed a reason to live until season 100

Vardis Sourpis(s) will still find a way to make it work at its current level:

He's un-nerfable.

I think shot blocking already does affect LI significantly. It's going to be crazy if they increase it, IMO. For example my under $30k backup center is mostly shot blocking salary-wise & was one of the harder PF/Cs to score against in the NBBA according to what Wozz(?) calculated a couple seasons ago. Only 7 IS & fairly low Reb too, yet averages a 15.5 game rating & is super effective. Just there's not many players like him in existence & no one wants to train one themselves.

I wouldn't be surprised if in 10-15 seasons there will be much debate about motion and RNG being too powerful.

I think it's more likely than not that outside offense becomes "more powerful" than LI is today. I'm guessing they'll over-correct then deny that they over-corrected for a long time after. (like how they denied that finishing 5th was better than 3rd or 4th place for so long).

Managers are interested in getting that store plus. A starting C for a big NT in your homecountry gets up to 90-100k bonus.

So if training to the likes of the NT gets you the job that is what you will do. Also, you would be surprised how many managers aim to have a player in the national team.

So the job of the national team manager is to advise and guide how the players grow and implement a working team. The better a country is at this the better their NT is.

National hero
Had a player play on the National Team
National Hero | Level 1 3239 Teams Awarded.
Junior National Hero | Level 2 | 6231 Teams Awarded.
National Hero (NT and JNT) | Level 3 | 1204 Teams Awarded.
Home-Town Hero | Level 4 | 4876 Teams Awarded.
Home-Grown Hero | Level 5 | 3202 Teams Awarded.

42476 active managers from over 227 countries around the world, playing in BuzzerBeater's 98 countries

Conclusion: NT/U21 aren't unimportant. We can see that at least 15% of managers in BB have or had in past NT/U21 player.
(At least 6231/42476 because this number doesn't count managers, who have/had NT player and never had U21 player).
It's similar number to number of users, who are active on forum and wrote something interesting:

Someone Likes Me! | Level 1 | 8632 Teams Awarded.

And for sure it's more than number of managers, who wrote on forum that LI is too powerful and/or SB are too weak and/or 2-3 zone doesn't work.
So NT and U21 are more important for community than problems with LI/SB/3-2.

And to fulfill topic's requirements - question to BBs: Do You remember what happened when last time in past many managers cried on forum that outside offences are too powerful and therefore BBs decided to change it? Only effect is that currently we have big cry that inside offences are too powerfull.
So maybe sometimes it's better not to bow under pressure and not to make nervous moves and changes in engine.

You only give credit to your way of having fun.

Obviously Nt having to change style of play is a NON-Issue, actually as the Spain NT coach I would welcome the challenge and it will be a huge improvement from just repeating this cicle of multiskilled PF, inside focus SF and huge IS guards. We have done that already.

What I am arguing is that nationa team competition is neither above nor below the managers. Game engine changes affect managers and the national teams in exactly the same way. The good thing that International competition brings to the game is a different aproach. If you are not so keen on domestic competition or you are just tired of it, you can train just for the fun of it.

I know a lot of managers whos first objective is to train a player and NT brings you the oportunity to try to get that trainee to the top. Training is fun, but NT cometition brings an objective to training.

Managers do not inflate staff prices, they just have a different value for them than you do.

Managers dont sacrifice their team for the NT, behind a NT player there is a story of succes, Drama7 won the national competition with two of our best NT players and then added a third one for a repeat and a b3 championship, Flumpaci has created probably the best player in the game and has been a competivie manager, we even had a div V manager that drafted a player, trained him to the NT and the player carried him to win his cometition and he is in the playoffs this year, his team is looking only to improve.
