My business last week:
Expenses: 234 888
Revenue: 458 231
Balance: 223 343

Overextension Tax: 35 826!!!!

I think there is something wrong:(

These are not your data right?
Can you please elaborate if you mean with this that the calculation is not right (bug) or that you don't agree with the way the tax is calculated?

These are my data.(I bought a few players last week, and salaries gone up this week)
12/30/2013 Weekly player salaries $ 213 862
12/30/2013 Weekly staff salaries $ 21 026
12/30/2013 Weekly Merchandise profit $ 37 294
12/30/2013 Weekly TV contract $ 134 215
12/31/2013 League Game (Televised) against KK Sveti Vid $ 236 722
1/2/2014 National Tournament Game against vitanovac $ 50 000

1/6/2014 Overextension Tax $ 35 826

I don't agree with the way the tax is calculated.

You're mixing data, current week (Expenses), previous week (Revenue), latest attendance(Revenue) and there is no profit from Cup.

The Cup revenue doesn't count. If you look at your economy page for the overview, it should have the breakdown and a mouseover to show the calculation. However, there is definitely a bug in that there is no way you should pay tax on revenues of over 400k and expenses under 300k.

I think there was a bug, on yesterday calculation, about OT. A bunch of users in Italian forum report some strange "OT" transaction when OT reports 0$. (253798.1) report this in the following posts.

I know, Palace tickets are just revised last season, but i think some stable ideas are needed now, at least with OT:

I played my first match at home during 2nd gameday , i was 4th in difference and my opponent was 8th.
Today there was my 2nd match at home, was 1st (i am the only one with still "0" in L column, at least for one match) and my opponent was 4th. This match was a TV match.

I lost only my PL last match during this period, and i had
15000 2665 363 23 18051-->229,9 K income in first match and
13802 2502 359 23 16686-->216,1K income in last one.

Last season i fluctuate from 3rd to 7th seat and i had a max income 202k and min income 164k. But it happens, due to position in standings, and opponent. Fluctuation is -18% in income.

This season, where we need more stable finances due to OT, i had a nearly 6% fluctuation in income and 8% in fans. with no position change by me and a better opponent. I can take as explanation that families prefer to spend 3$ for watching a tv match on a sofa (and avoid to use more money to buy hot dogs&cola) than 8$ per people to watch his liked team on the palace, or a sudden Illness hit people in the city where i live, or a snow storm, but i hope, with same condition like standings and fan interview, this is maximum fluctuation, because having a 10/15% difference between two similar matches is something which can't assure a long term stability in OT costs.

(i still pay 0$ for OT)

1)GDP has the same effect for every attack? Example: If i predict right focus and pace, both in Look Inside i obtain the same advantage if i predict right Low Post or Motion or R&G or every other attack? or they've some different balance?

2) if i use GDP for a perimetral attack and i use an internal defence (2-3) who "win"? are they the same or defence i use affects more than GDP choice?

Those are all questions which should not be answered by us, yet you should find the answers out by yourself. We don't want to give you all the information, because finding out the answers on your own is more rewarding in the long run.
As for your attendance question (was it a question? or a complaint?), all I can say is that there are many factors that affect the fans, not only games.

i've checked your numbers and these aren't what I see. Your salaries alone are at about $440k.
The tax is calculated at the moment of the economy update, what you see in the Baseline Weekly Economy box is a probable tax amount at this moment.

Thanks for answering, and it's right, as i told, that you don't explain.

As for your attendance question (was it a question? or a complaint?), all I can say is that there are many factors that affect the fans, not only games.

Was only an idea of what influence fans. I think that mantaining all the situation "the same" or better (no sell/no new players, same local player in the team, same position, better streak record, same position in "best point/rebound/assist classification) should become a push in fans attendance, not a "pull". Does it happens? if yes, i was surely an exception in the sample i report. Surely, 1 is not enough data to analyze, but i like to know if i have right thing of Fan Formula.

And, after it, i like to have a stable attendance, due to Overextension Tax: I did only one complete season with always - in front of my weekly economic result, but now, if i want to "push the team on the limit without tax" i can't fluctuate so much. And my first match can't be so high in attendance, i set all my calculation on it. (first week +11k, and no OT and 2nd week was -2k ,still no OT, i have a bit of extension).

But okay, in the end, no really problem because i still not pay a $ of OT ;)

I'd like to see individual player's shot selections in the coming updates.

That's available for supporters, not directly but based on play-by-play report and then Game analyzer helper tool will generate nice excel with very detailed analysis

I read this whole thread and loved it. “real salary” … “salary when signed” … “what the salary would be if…” … “visible salary” … “old formula new formula” … and especially “a 40k player whose real salary is 60k.”

When I talk to my employer about a raise, I’m bringing one of you guys with me, because he won’t know what the heck you are talking about!!! My paycheck has only ONE figure, and although it is too low for my liking, here’s a suggestion for you: salary is salary, period. Okay? That would be so much easier for us newbies trying to understand and succeed at this game. Thanks a million, or thanks a real million, or thanks a million under the new formula, or thanks a visible million. Or, E. All of the above.

Oh, wait, one more thing: “[Overextension tax will] hopefully adjust the tendencies so people will actually focus on building a basketball team rather than a balance sheet.” My understanding is that this is a financial game at its roots, so your Extension Tax will do no such thing. What it DOES appear to do is favor newbies who understand training from the get-go (i.e. no one) and disfavor newbies who carefully scrutinize the Transfer Lists to improve their teams so they can compete while learning to train and reap its rewards (i.e. me). So, speaking as a newbie … phooey!

But I still like your game and intend to improve and compete, so go ahead and make obstacles; I’ll find a way to prosper anyway. “No one starts kicking soccer balls in the top right corner of the goal on their first day.” True, but I’d like not to be disfavored for trying once or twice.

BTW, while I am on my soapbox … “to make the game "simpler" so people with only one synapse will play it is not to make either games, peoples or synapses better.” Gawd, I wish I had said that. Kudos!
