except for those of us that already have it :-P

Nobody asked you, Trikster! :P

...perhaps B) the alternative (if we can't get the flag) is that all those teams who already have it must return it!!! ;-)

Will the creation of Utopia, and all that comes from it, negatively affect BB's growth?

I have been disgusted, as have many managers, by the geriatrics selling for absurd prices since the creation of Utopia. Added to this is the regular influx of overpriced players on the market. Players that would have sold for less than $50k pre-Utopia are now selling for $250k+ Perhaps the most obvious difference I've started to notice is the waves of Million-dollar-men! There are countless players now listed for a minimum of $1 million+ Pre-Utopia times saw only highly skilled young players or quality SFs selling for more than a Million with the latter more than 2 million. Now...there are so many players listed for or sold for more than a million that wouldn't have been worth half that pre-Utopia.

i was browsing the thread and i see alot of demand for a mobile app. My question to the GMs is have the developers never thought of creating a responsive theme for the site? Sure the cost of producing a mobile app can be expensive, however you could also go out and purchase the Unity wrapper and wrap your current code with it and create a mobile app very easily.
The cost associated with that would be about $6000.00 for both android and apple licenses, Surely you guys have $6000 to spend on game development.
But lets just say the owners did not want to spend that much on the development of the game.
Creating a responsive theme is not the most challenging thing in the world. Hell the layout of the game here is simple enough that it would probably look fine with a responsive design. Then the game looks on the phone tablet desktop or whatever else. Any good front end developer should be able to create a responsive theme in a short time, The game already has a themeing system in place that much is obvious, so why not just make one that utilizes all the updates in modern programming languages since the game was created? Css gives you the power to make things mobile friendly even without the "mobile app". It makes no sense to me as a developer why all this talk would be given to the creation of a mobile app when the solution lies just in front of your eyes and could be accomplished rather easily. Just my two cents from a lowly D4 manager, Flame away

Conclusion: It may be a good time to turn oneself into a producer...

But then what? The Producers end up with a load of money and nothing to spend it on except arena expansion and inflated players. You are suggesting that the demand side is high and that the supply side is low without taking into account that the cash supply is also high. The only way to reduce the cash supply is more money sinks.

This happens in every game where veterans can price noobs out of the market because veterans know the best ways to make money and know what they want and have no qualms about spending to get it.

If only there was an alternative that could help keep market prices down by allowing equivalent "trade" of resources ...

The creation of Utopia has been a very bad decision.
The price of many players (players that most of the teams have in their roster) has raised x4 or x5 times. One of the most difficult things in BB is the economy, so finally BB is killing itself. It is very difficult if you want to start with a new team and you have to pay at least 1 M for make a "good" team, and i´m not talking about training, scouting, arena...
The market has a lack of players, so why BB can not put some more players for trading? That is: BB can create players and sell them as free agents, so they can balance the market.

Hey.

I'm here writting a couple of ideas I have that could improve the game itself.

1. Removing Game shape training and create a training tutorial or topic

I think removing the Game shape from Training would obligate the owners to get rookies and train them to increase the number of players in market and reduce the price of them which is too high right now, if you want to buy a decent player between 23-29 yo, you'll have to pay a lot because the majority of the users only use Game shape training and others dont know how to train their rookies. The remove of Game shape will make the owners more aware of the minutes the players should do per week and not make them play +120 minutes and still being in perfect shape from the training.

2. Deliberate Federations

The Federations have the potential to make new users earn interest about Buzzerbeater and this feature could use aswell the Mentor system like some users here supported that idea. But, this idea will only result if you make it free. Yeah, you read it correctly, the developers of Buzzerbeater should understand the users and what made them join the Supporter's family. You should release one feature when a new one arrives to make a rotation and gain more supporters because they would be like "Wow, these free features are so nice, but if I buy the Supporter package, I will gain more and the game will be more interesting", it is like "I got one free candy, but if I buy the whole package, I will gain ten candies instead of one".

3. Reduce Season duration.

Well, my idea for this topic is to inscrease the number of games per week, probably just add 1 more league game ,instead of 2+1, would be 3+1 like NBA season. This will decrease the duration of an entire season and don't make the game boring. The reduce of the duration will help the users to not get bored and help the training of their rookies, because to get a top level NT player in Buzzerbeater, you'll need like 10 seasons to make it, and that represents 3/3,5 years in real life. It is too much time to train a top level player, that's why they are a small number and when they are on market, the prices are excessive.

Nothing more to add, I'll wait for your opinions.

Cheers

EDIT: changed Game shape training. thanks jonte.

Salary floor is way too low. Make it between 50-100% higher to discourage tanking. The gaps in salary between top and bottom teams will still be significant but it will; make tanking much less profitable
