This thread has suddenly become a super long discussion about the new promotion system. I don't have the time to read all that so, if you want answers, ask a concise and direct question, and I'll answer.

The extra spots in promotion for higher leagues will be league winners and the the other spots are going to the team will best record who lost their final?

He already said they will use bot promotion mate, so after the finals winners for each league they'll use regular season record and PD.

I suspect this is also to accommodate for the fact that Utopia is not a perfect pyramid. D4 does not tie in with D3. When all leagues are filled he numbers of league winners in D4 could be higher than the spots avaliable from demoting D3 teams. Promoting D4 teams will have 96 spots instead of 64, having only 64 could create a significant problem if the D4 leagues were actually more than 64.

Can u confirm that promotion will be based on :
- league champions (PO champions)
- best W/L ratios (without any condition on playing the Finals or finishing at the 1st place in the regular season or anything)

League champions plus best W/L ratio teams will promote at the end of the season.

As many times as needed to get a clear answer which, I agree with you, should only take a few lines.

If u read this whole thread and some others u will see that 1/ there have been a lot of confusion and improvisation on the rules of promotion for utopia since the beginning of it 2/ the rules have changed every season and 3/ many managers do not know what "bot promotion rules" are because they are not concerned by it.

So i think that asking for a clear and definitive list of criteria is useful to many players. If u dont need any infos on the promotion rules, i suggest u dont open a thread named "promotions rules".

I didn't know what the promotion rules are either, that's why I visited this thread. Marin said it will be bot promotion, which is the same promotion type used not more than a month ago in Utopia. Assuming that Utopia users that played last season are the same users playing this season, there should be no confusion whatsoever, right?

Promotion in Utopia, season 29:
1- Win your league.
2- Or you have one of the best records of the regular season (without counting the record of league winners):
8 best records of III promote to II div.
32 best records of IV promote to III div.

Bear in mind, only 61 leagues are human in div IV. That means 61 leagues winners at this point and 35 best records of IV will promote.

actually, if u have a look at the thread named 'IV Promotion Rankings", u will see that it looks like last season promotion was not based on bot promotion in the end.

Your team with 19-3 +709 did not promote, but other teams with worse W/L ratio did promote without winning the PO

How will the new demotees be allocated?

@Everyone, so let's try and clear this up. Utopia, as lemonshine already noted, is not a perfect pyramid, but I'll try and explain what promotion will look like at the end of the season.
Top league "Heaven" is full of bots and will therefore be filled with 16 teams from D2.
D2 will have 6 teams demoting to D3 leagues, 2 playout losers and 4 direct demotees. 4 spots are filled with D3 league winners. The 2 extra spots will be filled with best ranked teams from all of D3, as if the extra two spots were filled with bots. Hence the bot promotion rules, which state that they will be ranked by conference position, win/loss ratio and PD. The distribution of these teams is random.
D3, similarly, will have the same situation with one small difference - there are more than 4 D4 league champions per each D3 league, and that's one of the reasons why the new system makes sense. We need to accommodate those extra champions and needed room. Therefore, most of the D3 leagues will receive 4 D4 league champions and 2 best ranked teams, while some will receive 5 D4 league champions and 1 team based on rank. Again, the distribution of these teams is random.
