In a 7-men rotation, backups are only playing around 8' per position (around 9' if the starters' staminas are lower), which means 40' on average for each starter. It's still not worth having really good subs if the 3-position sub will only play 22-24' and the 2-position sub 16-18' on average. I'd argue that it might be. If the sub and the starter have similar quality, that means that the sub would perform better than the starters (due to stamina skill decay) in those 22-24/16-18 mins he is on the court. There's always the risk of injury/foul-out that those subs cover as well.Of course, it will be even better if further adjustments are made, so that the subs could spend a little more time in play, say 28-32 for three positions and 20-24 for two positions. That would bring the starters' minutes to ~37-38 which would be ideal.I still believe the best way to counter short rosters is via GS, of course.

I don't know why homegrown players have to make the most profit. In real life the biggest profits are made by the biggest stars no matter where they are from, and mostly those stars don’t play in their cities and countries. Training will be in trouble if this game continue like this for sure... I wil finish training of current players in the next 3-4 seasons and then I will never train again(I am sure many guys think so even though it is a nice feeling to watch a player progress) because it is so boring, last too long, it is very expensive and I was not competitive for long time (and still I am not in the way I want to be) because these players were not good enough when they were younger, and I was spending too much on the staff and infrastructure and still I do.I have all the data on every dollar I have given to the trainees and trainers from the day one of their training till today in these almost 8 and half seasons and it is much easier not to train players.... Only on trainers, youth trainer and infrastructure I gave over 15 milion in this 8 seasons(In the end I will return 1 milion by selling infrastructure) and there I did not count the salaries of those players and the price of their transfers.Infrastructure 5,36 milion, trainers 9,1 m, youth trainer 0,95 m..... These are all unnecessary expenses when you do not train players...It is much easier just to buy players.
