I only use "let them play" if it's a game I really want to win and keep my best players on the court until they foul out.

I don't agree with the "feeling" you have because I have often seen guys get 4 fouls in the first quarter and then not foul out until the end of the fourth. Not that you are wrong, just that's what I have seen.

That reminded me one older game (10986009) that could be good bit for a research, lots of fouls in first quarter and several fouled outs (second game of a season me tieing first one, the opponent CTed; this game both TIEd).

I was just thinking of another possibility for more fouls. Since a guy in foul trouble will defend worse, the offense will look to this match-up more often. I'm just watching a game of mine where I'm playing "let them play" and my SG is in foul trouble. The offense just keeps picking on that match-up and he is the best defender on my team.

Anyhow, just an idea.

That is certainly what happens in real life.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

Josef, would you be interested in developing a coding line (like you did with salaries) for Hollinger's PER?

For those who arent familiarized with him, he's probably NBA's Josef Ka - the guy with the formulas, numbers and all.

He had developed a formula to indicate player efficiency based on a number of stats and adjustments to pace/position/minutes...

The problem is that every league has a different level,so PER statistics will be not so reliable

But the coding line would fit for any league, and that means weach league would better evaluate whos the best player in it.

Surely it would be a global parameter, but a very interesting aspect for the users
