It's too bad you can't sell 27 year olds and buy young trainees in this game.

I can never tell when you're being facetious.

So that's what happens when the leagues leading scorer plays a team with defense...... :)

This is my third season up in two different d2s and this is the highest I have ever been in the standings after game one. I expect as the season completes I will be battling for the demotion playoffs rather then the promoting ones. It sure does feel good to finally have a team that can at least compete with more then 2-3 teams in the league.

I don't know if I saw the same game you did. You were at home and the SBCT Bucks seems to have been slowed down. They were a little injured too. Don't get me wrong, your new 100k SF makes you a little challenging to most of the league now. I hope you can afford him in the long run.

SBCT was missing a guard to injury. My starting center (played pf for defensive purposes in case santos slid over to PF) went down with an injury after playing 12 mins. He plays look inside and his best player was held to half the total points he normally scores while his team was out rebounded on a 2:1 margin. I also was +17 when comparing offensive rebounds. How much do you really think that SG effected that rebounding edge and eventual outcome?

For offense and defense, which injury was more costly, his starting SG who was injured ahead of time allowing him the ability to game plan, or my starting C who was injured in the 1st quarter allowing the match engine to work with the sub pattern I set at the beginning of the game? Also note that my starting C that was injured is me best inside defender who I was hoping would help slow down our national team player....

Take off your tinted glasses and enjoy the view reality presents.

Did you also notice in tonight's match, that the second leading scorer came to my house and he was also held to less then half his scoring average? Who was it again who was railing on and on about offense while mocking me when I mentioned that defense was important as well?

The current make up of my team is taking into account remaining in the cup. I am profitable every week without the cup revenue. After I exit the cup, like most teams, a few changes will be made regarding back-ups.

I didn't say you were a bad team. I said you were able to take advantage of your schedule and other teams injuries.

Here is what my tinted glasses told me.
SBCT was down 6 at the end of 3 so you did limit the leagues leading scorer to half his average.

You also ran a 2-3. It's safe to say the addition of the SG may of added some spice to your game as was evident by his PG shooting 50% against you.
You also were at home - I think I mentioned that
Your rebounding was devestating to a 1 man team (hence the SBCT Bucks comment), but you also had 19 TO's which could of hurt you if.....he had gotten you to foul him. Fouling killed him as you both shot the same % from the field.

Last I checked if you shoot 2 FT's for a GAME, you will probably lose where your opponent hits 17 FT's and you win by 16.... I think you can do the math.

I am already out of the cup and am happy for it so I can train freely. I guess me playing the 2nd leading scorer and him getting 4 points below his average is subpar since I was at home

I also notice that 1 man team rebounded nicely at HOME..... so again nice job shutting people down. Will you please do the same to the Machines and so we can be friends.....

Nothing to see here, move along. I have this wet dream that I'll go 4-4 against the Great 8 this season.

Not sure I'd say he rebounded nicely. I was up 4 going into the fourth, and only my epic 4th quarter defensive collapse made it look like he won handily. All that while he put in more effort and was at home.
