great game. glad i tuned in.
lol @ the last play though. (that's a really long second!). quite an offensive explosion in that 4th quarter too.

Hoping Alas qualifies for the league leaders now, unless they move the game requirements +1 after the game.

not again with the insecurity.

Anyway, I figured I had by far the least potent lineup in the NBBA. (Going by salary). Well other than the Star Fliers after they sold their short-term center.

TBH, I haven't really been following the Great 8 or your team to this point. I remember losing by 35 to the Silverbacks week 2... after that I probably only played 1 other real game & got blown out again. So I set my expectations pretty low.

ha, just noticed my $28k center put up a 16.5 rating!!! talk about salary efficient!
(looking back now... he actually put up a few 17.5's & even an 18.0 last season)

Frustrating road loss. We controlled most of this game but it lost it in the last few minutes of each the 4 quarters.

We were tied at 16 with about 3 1/2 minutes left in the 1st, Bullish finished the quarter on a 7-2 run.

We were winning the 2nd quarter 27-24 before we committed a shooting foul with 4 seconds left, they 1 made FT, got an offensive rebound, and another shooting foul with 0 seconds left to finish with 3 points to end the quarter and finished tied at 27. 3-0 run to finish the 2nd.

With just under 4 minutes left in the 3rd, we led in the quarter 19-10, only to see Bullish finish the quarter on an 11-2 run including 2 more points at the buzzer with no time left to take a quarter they were getting dominated in and finish it tied instead .

With just under a minute to play we trailed in the game by 2 points, but led in the quarter 21-18 only to see Bullish close the game on a 9-0 run.

So we won the first nearly 40 minutes of the 4 quarters 83-68 but Bullish closed the end of the quarters 30-4 in about 8 1/2 half minutes of dominating play to get the win. Looks like I need to make some changes to improve my teams ability to close out quarters and games on the road.

actually, it's nearly impossible to win away against the ratings Bullish put up. Maybe only Silverbacks can do it. I'm pretty sure it can't be done with a vanilla LI, even given the extra effort.

My impression of this game looking at the ratings is that you were lucky for 40 minutes, and then caught some regression.

Well, i can't say I expected to win this game on the road...but to get absolutely destroyed 30-4 at the end of the quarters is a painful way to lose.

agreed. but I wouldn't necessarily infer that something needs to be changed in your team. sometimes one sees a pattern where there is just randomness.

I definitely hear what you are saying...but after a 2 point road loss, a 5 point road loss, and then tonight...it feels like we are close, but not quite there in terms of being a contender.

Except for Brian, his team matches up really well with mine and he can just murder me. He beat me by double digits Away in the PL game on Friday.
