the hospitality at the Dog Pound
in my list of excuses why i lost the game, playing on that miserable court is at the top of the list. poorly lit, baskets uneven, a dismal crowd more interested in preening for themselves than watching high-caliber basketball (something they haven't seen for years), plus a drum-and-bugle corp from a local middle school as halftime entertainment? A pre-game spread of quarters to a vending machine in the hallway? Showers that only dribbled out a miserable stream of cold water?
Of course that vending machine has filet mignon and bottles of 1971 Dom. What I found funny is that the final did NOT sell out. I think what happened is the Guards fan base didn't get their unemployment checks in on time. That or Bb crowds are getting wise to the staid predictable nature of the higher levels.
Regarding the entertainment at intermission you could have had

https://youtu.be/eX64a7pXnFw or even
https://youtu.be/eynNJufKK2Q hell the little Generals marching band was even available and since any championship game halftime must include the inclusion of a geriatric outfit from those days of yore we would have had a lil something for ya

my fair to middling ass was lucky to get far as I got, though I probably get the award once again for the most heart wrenching exit, let's see 25 seasons in and my cup exits include 2 cases of getting Ft'd after time expired. A regular buzzer beater. Several other close losses and a double or collapse a few seasons back to the Cacti which was the springboard to their first final four.
Well time for the highlight video to be put together, and the following should be used to score the Cacti triumph. Or at the very least the images symbolically match
