Only a joke, yes. I am refering to the fact that all mad scientists with respect for themselves has an Igor (assistant/housekeeper/janitor/collector of dubious items, such as brains) for assisting their master in their plan of world domination.

Btw, coming from me, that is to be taken as cred ;)

Edit: mad scientists = misunderstood geniuses.

Getting back to the changes - i'm curious to learn your take on the seeming disparity of value in training Centers and Guards.

Unless managers training guards simply try to sell their players less often and are training to keep we are seeing waive after waive of $50k + wage big men hitting the markets and regularly declining prices for their signatures.

Do you not think that the real reason we might be heading for an 'unsurmountable' gap between teams is that they just don't receive the real value of the training time they have put in? I've tried unsuccessfully to argue this point before but if the transfer ranges were higher then i think this could encourage more rounded training.

Just examples.

ie. Center with Sensational ID/RB/IS + Atroc. Passing & Handling is $2mil
Center with Sensational ID/RB/IS + Respectable Passing & Handling is often $2.1mil

Either managers are under/overvaluing secondaries and thats why we are seeing such condensed and tight price bands for similar primaries / different secondaries or the education to the managers on if the secondaries are important and making a difference is being neglected.

It appears at this rate as though the injection of TV money must have to be around the 10% level at minimum to bring back a bottom rung to the transfer ladder.

If the average half decent rookie is going to set you back 1-1.5mil yet you can buy a player who's had 3 seasons of training for the same amount then you are now forcing managers to try and make their weekly profit by not spending their full income on salaries. This being the case you are not encouraging roster development beyond a certain level irrespective of your financial set up and planning.

Maybe the stopping of Free Agents will change this but it wont happen overnight. Training rewards slowing down faster than any income stream is rising is the real reason I believe the longer term economy outlook is uncertain and the calculation of TV money is critical to the next stage of the game.

I agree with you that a long term strategy is a reasonable thing for a game to have, but the situation we saw developing wasnt just that we didnt want people to have to plan ahead, rather it was that in the long term, when everyone in d1 gets a huge arena and are the only ones with enough fans to support it then it would be impossible for any promoting team to compete and they would be sent down immediately. We want a gap in divisions, but not an insurmountable gap, and the old system was headed toward and insurmountable gap and had to be changed... in addition we have he ongoing economic balance to keep in mind and this was a way to kill two problems with one change.

that being said, its not like arena size isnt important anymore... we believe building arenas will still be important, just that at some point its usefullness runs out. So for a team working its way up through the leagues, trading off winning now, versus building for the future is still a dynamic we believe is part of the game.. its just at the highest level we dont think it makes sense to have arena sizes just run away indefinitely.

is planned to avoid gap in the new system, in recognizing the merchandize income on the league above into the calculations - because in germany there are different in the quality of the second leagues, so that you would have a big difference when promoting from a weak league to a better one - where you are unable to plan ahead.

Just a question, you mean that international stars like NT players will generate more income, i got an player who was U21 world champion did this affect his popularity a bit or did his standing drop to normal immediately when he flew out of the team?

Don't know if he got back in the german nationalteam ->Cristoph Oberortner (377541) but he was a german NT for years and is probadly more popular in the community then my powerforward who will make 1-2 season in the NT even when he is retired.

What voting? From what I understand, the fixed number for TV money you see right now will change to another number which is re-calculated each season based on the overall quality of the players in the league.

"I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve."

Okey, that thread is too huge to read all but what i saw was that the BBs wanna have realistic Arena sizes about 17/18 000 like in real life?!?Is this correct??

If this is the future plan than please dont start with a 5 000 arena.Start with 100.Than thats how big a real life european 4/5 league basketball arena is.Or think about other ways like weekly maintenance or different types of,for example bleacher seats(cheap, luxory etc) or cinemas or or or.But if 20000 is the maximum in the future, building in the arena is not longer a part of the game.Because all teams will have the same size very quick!!

Cheers

i am not sure if that will happen as fast as you think. it takes a lot of money to build your stadium. and in the divisions at the bottom you don't earn enough to build it up as fast as you want.
