I agree with this as well, but I see this present case a big problem, because there is a very good player who will be permanently lost if this purchase is allowed to take place.

Maybe a solution for this would be to put all his players on sale (for $0) when a team is banned for cheating.

Plus, if a human team buys the guy there is money they'd never be able to recoup from the inflated price.

Well, for this I just think that if you think the player's value is less then what people are bidding on him, just stop bidding. If you payed more then u wanted for him that's your responsability. And if you think there is a cheater bidding on him, report him and expect to buy the player later when the team is banned (if they implement my previous suggestion).

What do you guys think ?

The only problem with listing all the team's players is that it might screw with the economy of the game in the long term. Obviously they won't all sell for $1000 so that team leaves the game with what might end up being alot of money which effects the balance of the game's economy. Unless that money can be fed back into the economy somehow, we might end up with a Hattrick style crash further down the road.

A little over a week ago, I posted a thread about a terrible player being bought for 670K - a clear example of cheating. Now the team that profited from the cheating is using that money to buy a very good player on the TL, Serif Çeri (776482)

I understand that it's sometimes not possible to stop a cheater right away, but here is an example of how doing nothing is not an option either. Some legitimate team is going to have to get into a bidding war with a cheater to buy this player OR even worse the player will be lost to the cheating team.

Can't TL activity at least be frozen for suspected cheaters to avoid this from happening? This is an urgent issue, as this player closes in the next 24 hours.

The only response you would get is that we received it. All the tickets are read even if no one claims them.

There appears to be a lot of frustration due to a few cases. I had no idea ~10 were being caught a week as I've only been aware of less than a handful. The issue here is the effect these rare cases are having. There's not a lot of star players on the TL, so when they hit the market and we're all after them and a cheater swoops in on that popular player a lot of us will notice this.

I had assumed most cheating allegations where dealt with manually by BB/GM, not through automated means. As the BB/employed staff already have so much to do, isn't it possible to give GM's the power to deal with individual cases which have been reported (maybe by multiple users)?

I think that last thing we, at least I, would want to do is push you all into additional hours of programming. If the current tools are working at the rate you stated then the system isn't broken, just needs some individual attention to the small number of cases which are having and impact and making it appear as that cheating is rife.

It's good to point out that this team, that bought Serif Çeri (776482), is not a cheater. His transfers are in order.

BB-Charles is actually working on tools for us GM's so we can deal with cheaters.

BB-Charles:
I'll also tell you that you have a great group of GMs who are telling us as loudly as possible the same things you are -- they are desperate for us developers to give them better tools. So in short, I'm going to ask you guys to give us a week, and within a week I expect we'll be able to have something good to report back.
