To conclude I am boycotting NTs with obvious farmteams.

You should list those teams here.

No, he shouldn't. I would like to make it very clear: there will be no cheating accusations in the forums. If you think the game rules are being broken, please be nice and file a cheating report.

The concept of farm teams is an interesting one. In Australia we only have 4 divisions so it is quite possible that new teams in Div 4 can train players up to a U21 NT level in their first 4 season and still only be in Div 3. This is especially true with guards as there salaries are more affordable as the lower levels.

I have 4 people in my office (including myself) that play BB. 2 of them gain great enjoyment in training younger players in their squad in a manner that will hopefully have them make the Australian NT or U21 NT. One of them just wants to climb up the divisions as fast as he can and in my own case i want to do both!

Different people enjoy different aspects of the game. I personally got a great thrill out of making it to the ABBL - but was equally excited about training up a player that made out NT.

So while some teams may well be farm teams it believe it is fair to say that that not all low division sides with a NT prospect or player are farm teams or "cheating" teams. Getting players into the NT is without a doubt the reason some managers play this game and when friends of mine have asked me how they should go about doing this i always tell them to hire a good trainer, do single position training and send a message to the NT coaches and see what type of players they like.

If this keeps a manager active and interested in the game then more power to them. The beauty of BB is that there are many facets to it and people enjoy and are motivated by each of them.
