LeBron is probably the best player in the NBA right now...
But, Howard is easily the most dominant big man right now
I can imagine bynum might be dominant too, if he would be the center of his team like Dwight. And Bigs in generell, most likely the PF Lebron would be my first choiche and Love shows also a dominance below the basket.
Not to take anything away from Bynum, but I'm not personally sold on him. He has serious maturity issues, which hinders his growth. Howard has shown his immaturity with this trade situation as well, but he doesn't show it on the court like Bynum.
Lebron and Love both create mismatches on defense, which is the key to their success. Howard has been top 4 in RPG every year in the NBA... number 1 in 6 of those years (I will give you that Love beat him out once). Plus, neither of them have the strength in the low block that Howard has. Love is an excellent player, but he typically lines up as a 4.
Williams is an easy top 5 PG
for me he that is at least close.
Rose, Paul and Rondo are most likely the top 3. Westbrook would be number 4 in my list, even when he lacks a bit the PG game but bring a lot skills on the table who helps the team. Number 5 for me would be Tony Parker who have comparable stats then Williams in a more succesful team.
And even Nash and Wall should get a mention here.
Strictly personal... Paul, Rondo, and Parker would be ahead of Williams for me. Rose and Westbrook need the ball in their hands too much... more like small SGs (however, they provide exactly what their teams need). Nash only because of age... Williams has more years to give. Wall needs to accomplish more to beat out Williams. I think Kyrie Irving will have a better chance of cracking the top 5 than Wall, but we'll see.
As far as numbers, last season Willaims was overall the best PG for combined scoring and assists with 21 PPG and 9 APG. No other point guard beat both of those stats last season.
