One thing to consider before going patient is if ypur opponent has better then average OD ratings. If he has I would never run patient as high OD is a killer for patient.

Unless the opponent always plays M2M and you can confirm that he's got bad OD at at least one position (usually C) and play your shooter there. But I'm pointing that out more for general consumption as I know you know this.

I don't know if this helps clearing things out, but earlier you said you haven't seen a guard or SF get many shots in a patient offense while being played at the PF or C spot. I recently played a game with that setup, and my SG Nikos Sotirakis (who played C) took 50 of the 93 field goal attempts my team took.

I had my guard trainees play the PF/C spots, and some bigs man the guard spots for gameshape reasons so my lineup was a bit crazy. I picked patient hoping my trainees would take outside shots vs his bigs, which happened (he shot 11-22 on 3's, he played M2M defense). I had a good shooter at backup PG who took 12 shots in 15 minutes, so it seems as the offense shifted to him when he was on the court. Other than these 2 and a PF playing SF, I didn't have any suitable offensive options (bigs at guard positions and guards at big positions), and even with the corresponding low passing throughout the team (the guards at the big spot had below respecteable passing, only the C playing PG had respectable), 70 of the 93 shots my team took were taken by the 3 players I wanted them to take.

Maybe this helps understanding the patient offense a bit better.

Look..I may not know as many things as other manager know but in buzzerbeater and in real life as well in order the ball to reach the C spot from the pg spot many passes must be done..
Hypothetically we have a team in which we flip the sf spot with the C spot because our sf has JS 16..we want the sf to take the majority of our shots because the opponent's C has a leaking OD..
But! Our sg has JS 12 but passing below 7..he will take many more attempts than we want but the result will not be always the best..
So in my opinion not only when we play patient should our team have good passing skills but when we play a slow-paced tactic as well!:)
Hope I helped!

Stay cool..

I understand the way you think, but if you have a SG that plays the Center position, having high JS and JR, he won't be posting up his opponent, he'll be coming out to the 3 point line, and then you only need 1 pass from the PG. I'm not saying I know for sure this is how it works, but it's a good possibility I think. In any case I'm a fan of high passing so I agree with you high passing benefits your offense ;)

Who said i couldnt get out? YOU? HA.. lol actually i built my arena and learned how alot different tactic worked? How to train players, what skills you needed to play certain tactics. It had nothing to do with regulation for me. I couldve regaulted my second season if i wanted.

I can't believe it, but I actually envy you. I couldn't regault if I tried.

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.
