I just know that if I lose game one and I can't win game three, winning game two does nothing for me. I'd rather set up to make the best run possible at game three and hope for a little luck at home, rather than go all out at home and hope to pull out the miracle on the road with lower enthusiasm.

Thats why if you dont have home court advantage best tactic for game 1 is to shot for a suprise. for example try some weird missmatches, zone defence, suprise with tactic you think you could do better. If you do, you in a better position then.

But if you have home court advantage i think its best to be safe and POC game 1 cause if you lose game 1 you lose home court advantage. I alwats poc game 1 and so far it hadnt failed me. in game 2 i usually pon and try to exploit some missmatches. So far won 3 out of 4 playoff apearances both in 2 games.

personally i wouldnt force game 3 for any costs. cause often people can change defensive matchups and sometimes if he did it cleverly could result in +10 points. also if he tries zone and it works out you can lose. So basicly the only way i would force game 3 is when i am confident i can win against any tactic with any surprises and some ingame traumas. which is likely never:D

I actually think POC-PON-POC is the way to go with HCA. If you get surprised on your first game its going to be a tough match away.

PON-PON-POC or POC-POC if you do not have HCA.

Hi! I made the finals too, so I need some help to finish my strategy.
He CrunchTimed all his playoff matches, I CrunchTimed once, so I have a much better enth.(he played all season normal - I alternated TIE and Normal with 2/3 CT). He has a better 5 than me, but he only has 6 players - so he won't have good GS next week. I won't have problems with GS next week because I have 13 players and I train GS.
My strategy is to play all G1 with 2nd Team, Normal and G2/G3 1st Team, CT.
I want to play G1 with 2nd team because I need good shapes next week and I think that is too risky to play with 1st and reserves because the coach could make some changes to my team(so the scrimmage - that is an easy match - will be played with 1st and reserves) because of the hard match.
So I bet on last 2 matches, when I will have bigger enth. and more good shapes.
Is this a good strategy?

I hope you feel super-confident about this. We had a famous incident in Australia in a relegation series where one team was much, much better that the other. The strong home team won the first game easily by 20. They threw away game two for the extra money. Then one minute into game three their best player is injured, his opponents players all have the best game of their lives and he ends up losing by two on a buzzerbeater. He could never get back to the ABBL and went bot a few seasons later while the team he tried to milk for the extra money is now playing in the ABBL finals. Do you really want to take that risk for a little extra cash?

Trying to work out what the team i played is trying to do.
I have HCA and Enthus on my side and a better side.
He named his worse 5 players and went PoN. Has he just given up or is he playing a game?

It looks as if he was just trying to bank some enthusiasm and didn't want to risk injuring any players while doing so.
I'd expect him to go POCT and field his full line-up in game 2.

I wouldn't be surprised if he is playing you.

Knowing you would blow your Enth and CTP and possibly hoping for an injury, now he trains GS and goes at you 2 times with CT... maybe.

Then again, he has millions in the bank and didn't buy up before the finals to have a tilt, so he could have just got this far for revenue and now is making sure he doesn't accidentally promote.

That is my thinking. I kept looking for him to buy up.
He failed to put in orders last semi so his enthus might be same level as mine now.
And my game shape and line up in stronger. Was just wondering if there is some great plan I missed.

I say take the games you can win. HCA is significant and if you want to promote, I'd play it safe. It's more important to promote than to milk your finals games for all they're worth. You'll make much more money in the next level than you'll save trying to be fancy with tactics.
