First season: Train OD for first season single position
second: train passing
Start moulding him into the type of SF you want now (Outside, Balanced, Inside)

I would say an inside oriented SF or a PF with a good outside game (kinda like Pau Gasol.) I prefer the latter. That's what I trained my PF as.
