As far as I know, we already lost one round of Cup by removing bot teams. I don't know if currently bot teams exceed human teams, but that last round removal was already done to avoid that. The point of that proposition is not to have only bot vs human, but avoid bot vs bot. If it means remove another slice of bots, let's go.

I don't think we lost a round in England so I suspect a lot of other countries haven't lost a round. So if its true that the removal was for that reason I think its in countries where the number of bots exceed humans by quite a large amount.

As I said:
I'd rather see the first round removed altogether in countries where bots exceed human teams, than have a cup round that was entirely human vs bot.

So we're not disagreeing.

I don't think that helps discussion.

I'll have to remember that next time you're sarcastic. (Yes, I'm aware that doesn't help the discussion either, but really, being chastised by you for sarcasm is a bit rich.)

Remove the round bonus for the cup, as long as there are sufficient bots left real teams should be matched up against each other.

Again, top tier teams paired against each other, while there are many bot pairs in the cup. I had to win against human team to meet with the bot team in the next round... come on, it's ridiculous.

Pair all bot teams against human teams, until all bot teams are kicked out.

It isn't ridiculous at all.

Pair all bot teams against human teams, until all bot teams are kicked out.

No need to bold it. We can all read it without that. I favour a free draw like we already have. No seedings. Don't treat bots any different to anyone else. If a high division team loses in the Cup when there's still bots in, that's just tough. Get over it.

Get over it.

That's the problem, I can't get over it. What's the point in having human team knocked out, while there are some bots in the cup run??? It doesn't make any sense.

If the draw is seeded so that the big teams can remain in the Cup, it will make it much easier for the big teams to win. In my opinion, that's removing one of the big joys of the Cup, that because the draw is open, and big teams can remove each other, it makes it possible for smaller teams to do well.

The opposite, where the number one teams becomes much more likely to win makes no sense to me.

I am not talking about seeding, yeah, I agree, seeding in bad. but, but... what if the small team gets paired against the top tier team in the very first round? is not not better for smaller team to face bots in the first rounds and then top tier?? So if random is cruel your small teams get knocked out at the very first stage, instead of after 2 or 3 round.

I repeat, I am not talking about seeding, I am talking about seeding all human team against bot teams, until there are bot teams left. I think it's better for smaller to team to reach final closer, than such drawing.

If all teams are allowed to play bots then all teams stay in the Cup longer. Fewer rounds where the top teams can be paired means more top teams reaching the late stages. Inevitably this gives smaller teams less chance. Yes I can see it would be "better" financially for all human teams to get further, but I don't think that would improve the game or the Cup.

Ok, for one concrete small team it may be better such drawing. If he gets lucky he goes further. But in average, for all small teams it's much worse. If all top tier team are left in the cup run, so are all the small teams. Top teams can be knocked out by playing each other in the later rounds, when no bot teams are left.

I am not saying it for financial reasons, I am saying this for the enjoyment of being in the cup run much longer.

I just don't agree with you. For reasons I've already stated the Cup is fine as it is.
