Vraag (33639.20)

Maybe it has already been mentioned in the General Forum, but I am curious about a couple of things:

1. Excepting FT and Stamina, all the player's abilities seem to contribute in some extent, depending on the position, to the team ratings.
However, blocking seems to be "alone" in that sense. Does it contribute to any of the team ratings (logically I suppose to Inside Defense)?

2. Faults: People in our forum are wondering what are the factors causing that a particular player makes more or less personal faults. It looks logical that a tired player or a bad defender will ussually make more faults. But sometimes good defenders with good stamina are also making too many faults. Is there any relationship between the stamina (too low or too high) and personal faults?

I hope, you can bring us some "light" about these two questions... Thanks.

Antwoord (33639.21)

1. Blocking does contribute to inside defense, but the much stronger effect is simply that some shots are blocked rather than becoming either made or missed.

2. Players do have a hidden personality that you will discover as they play, and a part of this is that some players prefer more physical play than others. More physical players will tend to both draw and commit more fouls.

A quote about fouling, from BB-charles

Right now when a player is in foul trouble at any point in the game (i.e., 2 fouls in the first minute is also a problem), it makes them weaker defensively, and the effect is increased substantially for their 5th foul.

In addition, your coach will tend to sit a player in foul trouble, but it's not quite an ironclad rule. Rather, what happens is that the coach considers him a bad option, but if he's better by enough of a margin over his replacements, then he will continue to play.

There's one other piece that I realized is not yet public, but will be when the page is released later today:

Part of the new attendance system for all games involves your fans being more likely to support teams that have Cup success.

Niet helemaal een BB, maar wel interessant: (44544.26), GM-JuicePats:

I speak for many managers who feel it in the same way and I can add my own results acquired as a 3 seasons national team coach who record every change in skills of my players for this long time... on the other hand, you have nothing but your opinion, only BB´s know The Truth. I respect you as a great NT coach and helpful GM, but I cannot agree with you at this point.

And I have the word of the BB Team that has confirmed unequivocally that NT games give experience (and not the minute amount you claim).

Wederom GM-JuicePats (44818.12)

If both U21 and NT want a player, whichever one adds the player 1st gets him.

Training is designed so that if a skill is markedly higher than the others, that skill will experience a training slowdown until the other skills catch up.

yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the "present."

Ik ook:

GM-JuicePats over minder dan 48 trainingsminuten in een week:

(381.745) tot (381.748)

25% minder training bij 45 minuten! Lijkt mij heel veel, maar als je ziet wie het zegt...
