Press Release From Singapore Showstoppers
Team Manager Jem92 would like to thank fans for their continual support of the club. Although, silverware has eluded the club to date, the team would strive to improve. "We'll need to keep working hard and improving as a unit. The team's been together for a while but looks like something's still missing."
Local NT player Wang Xiang Jia believes that a few more pieces are needed before Singapore Showstoppers can fight for the title. "I don't think we can win SBBL this season, to be honest. We're still behind the top teams in terms of having players that are capable of producing magic during tight games."
Teammate Ong Yi Ying, who has been with the club since being drafted in Season 9, believes that while the club has progressed from a long way, it has hit a plateau in recent seasons. "We've come a long way as a tight group of players and are part of a big family. However, we may have to look towards the future and build in that direction."
Jem92 has rebuilt his team in the past and will look to do so again. However, with high payroll and ageing players, this may yet be a tougher assignment.
