This has to be one of the longest post I have ever seen.
I have to disagree. I think that U-21 and NT's are very important to the game. Not all NT players are on FARM teams. I don't know about you but even know I am not from Japan, I feel a sense of pride when Japan wins a U-21 or NT game.

Again I think you are wrong thinking that the NT game impacts very few people in the game. I receave a lot of messages of people that support and follow our National Team. The chat, even in working hours is packed in key games and allows managers to dream about having a NT player. In the end all are in top leagues and not in farm teams like you say.

Where i absolutely agree with you is that game engines should be made regardless of National team training programs. Right now NT competition has exactly the same issues as managers game in term of LI dominance. And not needing to play good minutes and the lack of training in the games makes blank lineup even a bigger issue, making the competition boring.

I would love to know just like you how many players are farmed into the NT's and see what nations who had the most.

You really have to guess? I'll give you a hint: they are hard-working people who don't know what "individuality" is. Oh, and they are from the biggest nation on Earth...

I wonder if you get that achievement if your player only is scouted though.

Ask on Help forum if You aren't sure ;-)
However FYI:
At benining of current season I scouted all players drafted in Japan in this season, however, for example, this club isn't awarded:

I think it ends offtopic.
If it isn't enough I can show at least 3 other methods to prove, that scouting isn't enough to get this award.

National hero
Had a player play on the National Team
National Hero | Level 1 3239 Teams Awarded.
Junior National Hero | Level 2 | 6231 Teams Awarded.
National Hero (NT and JNT) | Level 3 | 1204 Teams Awarded.
Home-Town Hero | Level 4 | 4876 Teams Awarded.
Home-Grown Hero | Level 5 | 3202 Teams Awarded.

42476 active managers from over 227 countries around the world, playing in BuzzerBeater's 98 countries

Conclusion: NT/U21 aren't unimportant. We can see that at least 15% of managers in BB have or had in past NT/U21 player.
(At least 6231/42476 because this number doesn't count managers, who have/had NT player and never had U21 player).
It's similar number to number of users, who are active on forum and wrote something interesting:

Someone Likes Me! | Level 1 | 8632 Teams Awarded.

And for sure it's more than number of managers, who wrote on forum that LI is too powerful and/or SB are too weak and/or 2-3 zone doesn't work.
So NT and U21 are more important for community than problems with LI/SB/3-2.

There is a missing point in those figures :
What is the % of managers who enjoy playing BB but don't feel like giving their opinion in the forums ? (or just have language difficulty). How can you be sure of their opinion about LI/SB/JR/NT/U21... issues ?

One more thing. I'm quite new in the game (almost 3rd season). And i didn't have to dig a lot to see that, obviously, LI "is the only way" (when you're heading the top). Every time someone in the forums comes out with an idea of an "original" strategy (like focusing on SB, or making hybrid players or ... or ...) there is a huge wave of managers saying "this is worthless, better don't try it, stay close to the classics " (it is caricatural but true). Those managers who say so are the most experienced, and i believe they are true.
So what is the point if there are no options available in a game ? How do you get excitement and fun doing it all the same way for 10 seasons ?

I prefer to see the changes as an Evolution rather than as a REvolution.
Managers defend what they own at the present, and seeing changes to come make them fear it. It is a natural reaction. But if the community wants to keep its' managers and grow up in numbers, it should be able to include all kind of views on a basketball simulation game.
I do appreciate Wolph's position on that point : see it as a new challenge guys. If you believe you have strong teams, you should have nothing to fear ! (except ME !!! hahahahha ... okay bad joke) ;°)
