Call me crazy...

this nick is reserved ;)

The main problem i have is the lack of skills for a dunk contest, because thats mostly athletics which is hidden in a lot of skills.

What about IS? Just like the 3pt competiton is based on JS and JR. Probably based on :P

That and the "popular factor" wich also seems to be used in the mvp calculation.

But IS is lot more flexible then JS/JR in my eyes, i know very dangerous inside scorers who will never close to a dunking championsship sometimes i even ask me if they can dunk but they have very good movement close to the baket which mostly ends with a hook or layup.

In dunking competitions in my experience normally small player win, who mostly don't have a post up game(sign for bad IS?) but very good athletic.

I understand that but still... I just do not see viable adding another skill for the purpose and even if IS is more flexible than dunks it might be used as an approximation of that specific skill. We can't have a skill like Dunks, Hoops, etc.

So even if I understand were you are going I still think that between not having contest at all or having one based on IS, I prefer the later :P

if we have it i prefer driving instead of IS, but maybe i am biased by the way european centers play who are much less athletic then the centers who train for the US system. But even the Superman mentioned that he had to do something more spektacular, becaue it looks pretty lame when someone of his size dunks on a basket who are "so small".

I think that can put IS and Driving (yes driving, because more driving more easy go to the basket) in dunk contest, and just like no exist the skill athleticism, it could be made by player's height (just a opinion)

The dunkers could go to the dunk contest by voting (All star contest) or number of dunks in the season (the total amount)

But I have a doubt...How whould you do when a dunker miss?

A dunk contest would be one of the last things this game needs

It's not one of the last things to do while so many users want it.

how many??? I see more users saying that it`s insane to create slam dunk contest in text based game, cause it`s not interesting and even would be more sad then fun to read "wow, he made 360 dunk, it`s amazing and he wins this year contest"...

I'm opposed to a dunk contest because there's a large list of other things I'd rather see the BBs work on. A dunk contest would be one of the last things this game needs and should only be created when there's nothing better to do.

I do agree with this in that this is the reason you probably wont see a dunk contest for quite some time.

I would use "ever" instead of "for quite some time" (=

I was the geek that insisted that free agents would never make a comeback, so I'm wary of using ever unless it's a lock.
