I'm expecting to get beaten pretty convincingly in the cup tonight, I'll have to rest some key players that have played a lot of minutes already this week. Happy about the first league win though.

So, I've got about $3 million coming in shortly. What should I do with it? I'm thinking I just sit on it for ages, unless anyone else has any ideas.

Your money is in ca-ching!

I think you should hire a level 7 trainer, doctor and pr man...jk.

Ok, really this is a great opportunity to pick up an outstanding trainee. They are going cheaply at the moment and even $1 million would get someone that will surely be destined for greatness one day with awesome starting skills and potential around MVP.

I've been looking for a while but the guys I've thought were worth it have been going for $2-$3 mill and I don't want to spend quite that much on one guy. I've bought a level 6 trainer, and two great trainees, and i think i'll keep the rest of the cash!

Tilman Salambo (14720619) Point Guard as I sent to you looks like a great trainee. A guy like him is a fantastic long term investment. Yeah unless you are seriously rich or want to train a guy for the NT I would be staying far away from $2-3 million trainees. Then again SASTROOPERS have an amazing NT guy and their merchandise is 94k a week which pays back their investment in Smeltz, their trainee very fast.

My (longer) term desire would be to get one Aussie NT player and one foreign NT player. I think O'Daire should be able to make the Irish team fairly easily as there's a shortage of managers training PGs in Ireland, but as for the Aussie guy - that's a few seasons away yet.

Looks like XBB has decided to follow the same path as me, he's selling off all his good players!

Well what a night it was. This was the big clash between the top of the Big 8 and the top of the Great 8. I felt fairly confident going into the game but watching it live (with the RabidCamel) I was quite worried. Lucky in the end 5 of my players had a good night with ratings of 10 or higher and Rafael "The Devil" Palencia had a mighty 15.0 rating! So despite my fears the team stormed home with a dominant 4th quarter. So why was it so close?

Australia Gangsters looked like the only team trying out there.

It seems they Gangsters were VERY keen to win this one while the Seagulls were looking more towards the next clash with The Cleveland Sweaty Steamers. Both the Gangsters and the Steamers are very good teams so I needed to spread my efforts to have a chance in both games.

A pity to see both my friends the Massive Ballers and Rempaging Marmots go down but overall it was a good nights work. The second most interesting thing was that all season the opinion has been that the Big 8 was MUCH stronger than the Great 8 yet tonight the Great 8 won 5 games, lost one by 2 points and the other two games involved the no 2 and 3 teams from the Big 8. This suggests the gap is not as wide as some (including me) first thought.

Saturday we go to Cleveland, that will be an interesting experience! We can't wait!

That was a quality win by you. I did think you'd come through, though!

Meanwhile, apparently I CT'd it instead of doing TIE. Eep. That explains why it was close for part of it. That was definitely meant to be either normal or TIE, being an away game. So now not only did I not win, but i have no enthusiasm. dammit. And he even TIE'd me and STILL won.

Still not sure why you sold John Lehmann (12020502) Point Guard. He was your draft pick, great skills already and highly trainable. I guess his height was really bad, but he was your Aussie draft pick and would have been fantastic for your teams meachandising.

Bummer about the CT, that sucks.

His height was very annoying, and he'd had a couple of injuries and had fallen behind where I wanted him to be. I pondered keeping him for a couple more seasons to get more for him when I sold him, but I decided to cut him loose straight away and get in two new trainees.
