THere is no way to stop the farm teams really. In the hypothetical situation it was possible to stop them, well trained players would be much much rarer than they are, and training your own players, from a young age, would be more valuable, and therefore more common for top league teams.

Agreed that it is both a problem and tough to stop. I think the best solution for at least slowing down farm teams is to catch them at the actual point of collusion, the Transfer List. It is an outdated belief that these 'farmers' are mostly one guy scenarios with a couple different accounts going from his office computers. It is more likely as time progresses that you will see groups of managers working together to cheat the system. Think two team trading only occurs between the same country teams? Antiquated theory. Being more dilligent on transfer scandle is the only step that may yield better results. Just my 2 cents on it.

So to try and address the issue of farm teams you want to completely overhaul the system? Not feasible.
In addition, this idea will mean that there will be no training of youngsters in this game as all the training of rookies are being done on this seperate server.
In addition, it provides a HUGE advantage to the people that have the spare time to run two teams as these people will learn a lot more from the game, and also know the skills of lots and lots of the rookies and will know the skills of these players that may end up on other teams which is unfair.
In addition, it will completely ruin this game because suddenly training will not be a challenge at all because winning games is not going to matter at all, it is just going to be about training great players for the main game.
In conclusion, the idea will never be implemented as it will ruin the game that so many love.

I train many players over 22, so does everyone else. 22 is not the end all be all of training.

People do train players over 22, but they also train players from 18 to 21. Take away the training from 18 to 21 and you take away the majority of training done by people.

Like I said, 3 times, it is an idea. Quit getting so worked up over such little things.

And each time I was simply pointing out why it was a bad idea. No need to get worked up over such little things.

Finally,
as I said,
STOP RESPONDING TO ME.

Fortunately this the internet and I am free to respond to whoever I wish. If you do not wish to accept that there is a red cross at the corner of your window, feel free to use it.

If you can't stop them from doing it anyway, make a legal version that makes the illegal one obsolete- otherwise the only people being punished are the ones not cheating. Right now teams that do not cheat, like me, are at a disadvantage. I train my own 18 and 19y/os. Few else do that. Many have a farm somewhere else or just watch teh TL for the products of their farms. This lowers the value of what I am doing signifigantly, since there are so many farm teams completely devoted to training, my guys aren't rare.

i have 50.000 farms even without cheating ;) because i look at the tl, for players other dudes have trained. it is always faster and easier to buy the player you want, them make another team and train them yourself(maybe even farming 3 season money to even buy the trainee you need, just to discover after additional 5 season training that some other dudes wants the player too and give more money ;))

And you say it yourself, your guys aren't rare, the "farms"(i like to call them other managers) also producing them so that you could buy them on the TL instead of wasting 8 seasons to train them with a second team.

i also train everytime, and i have just one player who is below 21 and just trained occasionally ;) So you would even have farms(call them for example Massendefekt 67) who makes, your player not unique on the transferlist and you had to suggest a new server where every one had teams to train the 21 to 35 year olds. or a server where you play alone, without anyone else training players.

I think your basic idea is good but it should be a completely different game just utilising a lot of the GE. So have a game called BuzzerBeaterCollege.

The offseason would be very big as each team tried to recruit the best high school prospects. I used to play another online college Basketball Game and this part was by far the most fun part of that game.

There shouldn't be a TL at all with players being sold instead just a list of players without a scholarship who you can try and recruit.

Players would start at age 18 or 19 and would have 4 years of eligibility with an optional 1 year of being redshirted.

Some may enter the pros early and you may lose them if they are really amazing. Don't know if that is a good feature or a bad one. Recruit a young LeBron and you may only get one season of him.

You could set your rosters the same way you do now but training would be very different. You should be able to set up to 3 different trainings a week, so maybe the PGs were getting passing training, the wingmen getting JS and the C/PF were geting rebounds.

This should require minimal work seeing as it would use most of the code and GE from regular BB and could be a new revenue stream.

Interesting?

Interesting idea but I've gotta agree with the Naker train of thought... this is just such a drastic change that it would completely alter the game, and there's no reason to make such big changes to a game that already works. As the saying goes, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Maybe as others have said, this could be an idea for a separate game on a separate website but not BB.
