It isn't that Push The Ball generates more OF than Patient.

In fact, no offense generates more offensive flow. It depends solely on your personnel. If your Flow is heavily stacked toward your point guard, your game ratings for OF will be higher. Patient takes OF from more sources than PTB.

As far as the topic goes.

In my IV league, myself and Lumber Jacks have pretty good Flow. It doesn't lag behind our other ratings like the topic suggests.

We are both undefeated and the best in our respective conference. They lead the league in Assists, Turnover differential, and have the league's best offense. I lead the league in Field goal percentage and FG percentage differential.

I can reach about Average(Medium) on good form and using my LI offense.

He can reach about Average(High) with decent regularity, although I speculate he has the potential to reach Respectable(Low)

Ever other top team in the league has pretty typical inept(high), mediocre(low) , ratings though.

Did you accomplish that strictly through passing & handling on the PG? Or do you have a certain benchmark which all of your players must be at for passing & handling?

Combination of both. All of starters are at least average in passing, but my 40k PG has very high passing and ball handling.

Though it's worth noting more than passing and handling contributes to Flow.

My offensive flow is always on par with everything else or better, just check out my games, I have a nice PG with marvelous driving, wondrous handling, but just proficient passing, which im getting to around prolific by end of season or sooner, as he is not my main trainee.

As i stated several times (and i have now the numbers to backing up my opinion but that one its a really long talk) after one point having more JS for example gives you very little value considering the cost. So its all about the efficiency. For me the tactical part of the game the goal is to have the max ratings with the lowest cost. So if 2 teams have equal primaries the deferences will be the 2ndaries, and i prefer to have less offensive ratings, but higher OF. It can easily cover the deference without any cost actually. After 10 seasons on the game, i can assure you that the most important 2ndy skill is passing. Why? because a good pass can make one player better. Nash effect you can call it, plus it reduces the TO's.

HA for me its all about to not get stripped or lose the control of the ball. Therefor more than 14-15 is not needed even for the very best guards.

Now the neutral offenses. Is in general accepted that the better OF you have the best way to go is to use slower tactics, also that those tactics are looking for the best match up, but here its a trick. That one can be a guard with good IS going against a guard with weak ID, and thats actually the secret of those tactics. For me the most interesting experiment actually is what Hostivar's doing, with his team and his NT, using players who can play very good inside out, while keeping there salaries relative low, and the gain is not only how they play, but also that they are affordable to the teams, so GS are less of an issue, than having a 500k monster.

Given the opportunity i will make more posts similar to those with some interesting observations, to give more food for thoughts...
