Big 8 teams Review (by Eric Press Release)

3. Lycans BB

Last season was certainly one to forget for Lycans BB (currently ranked 7th in Singapore). The team had a nightmare start when Fang Shuangxiang, Singapore best player, was down for 3 weeks at the start of last season. Without him, the team won 0 and lost 7. His importance was highlighted when he came back to lead his team to 12 wins out of 15 games.

Alex and the fans will be praying that Fang Shuangxiang (averaging 17.4 pts, 14.3 rebs last season) will stay injury free to lead them to another SBBL playoff which they achieved in season 13 by getting 4th in Big 8.

For season 12, 14 and 15, the team achieved 5th spot, so expect them to steer clear of relegation zone and fight for a playoff spot.

Prediction: 4th to 6th position

4. Whampoa All-Stars

Whampoa All-Stars (currently ranked 4th in Singapore), two times SBBL league champion and four times Singapore Cup champion, are the current proud record holder of three consecutive Singapore Cup between season 13 to 15. In recent seasons, the team have been focusing on setting a record for the Singapore Cup. But after falling short last season to SLZH, the fans are wondering what would be sky's plan for the new season.

With no major transfers in the last two months, sky will likely keep faith with the current group of players for the new season.

Prediction: Top 5
