Sure that's a shocking upset, however, it's not like Secret Agents had their A team out there. With the line-up he put out there a number of Div III teams could potentially pull-off an upset if everything falls into place. One player got hurt relatively early and then another fouled out in the fourth quarter - recipe for an upset.

Congrats to Sony Rox ur Sox for a great win.

It's true that I didn't have my best players in the game today, but it's not like I sent out random guys. I planned things out so that the lineup I had out there tonight would be good enough to win against the other teams best lineup (even on the road and with an effort difference). At the very least, I thought that I was safe tonight.

I will admit that I was surprised that my opponent used several of their best players in the starting lineup today, and that they bothered using normal effort. Still, based on the box score, I should have been fine, even with Tamiazzo's injury. I just don't understand what went wrong, and it's beyond frustrating.

I know what you mean. This season has been outright ridiculous. I drew a newly promoted team (like myself) in the first game and had to CT him which left my enthusiasm in shambles and he guts right after, then a RNG loss, then a game where I didn't set my lineup after not being on BB in disgust, and if that wasn't enough I draw GM-RiPs team in the cup immediately after. I knew at that point the season was over, so I decide to tank....then what? 2 players that I try to sell for reasonable prices multiple times (middle of EV, what i bought them for) don't, i list them for $1 and lose ~half a mill on them in addition to paying their salary a few times for no reason losing me another 500k

These are the kindve of Cup upsets people like me dream about! This is why I play Buzzerbeater! This is the wow factor!

But seriously tough luck Mogul, dont quit!

Also Sony Rox ur Sox now faces the Philospher Kings, does the cinderalla story continue? I highly highly doubt it... . But congrats BuzzyG! Youve made all of us underdogs proud, do it again!

The only wow factor this particular cup game had for me is "wow, I don't think I can handle what just happened." I don't want to go on and on about things, and be a big complainer, but it's 10 hours later and I still feel absolutely horrible.

I keep going over the game in my mind, thinking about what went wrong, and how I could have prevented things if I had done this, or that. The thing is, though, I really don't think that I actually needed to have created more of a safety buffer for this particular game. I strongly believe that what I used should have produced a win tonight, given the actual conditions out on the court. I also know though that I didn't take the game seriously enough, and looked past it, because I was expecting Sony Rox Ur Sox to TIE and use a game shape oriented lineup (which is indeed what he was planning to do, as it turns out, as the lineup used was apparently an accident). If I had been just slightly more careful, I could have avoided what happened, and the loss is ultimately my fault. It's my fault.

Anyway, I need to step back from everything, and not just because of this one particular loss. I've had 3 games this season where I completely flipped out over what happened, and I don't want to be that guy. I'm sure I'll feel better in a few days, and I have no plans to quit before the end of this season, but after I play out the string....well, we'll see.

Good luck to everyone that's still in the cup, and have fun out there! :)

well, its like real sports
if the game engine decides to give the lucky bounces to the other team, some days you just have to accept it
I'm guessing HCA had a factor in this too huh?
