Love is an excellent player, but he typically lines up as a 4.
i thought you mean C/PF with bigs.
Strictly personal... Paul, Rondo, and Parker would be ahead of Williams for me. Rose and Westbrook need the ball in their hands too much... more like small SGs (however, they provide exactly what their teams need).
so does it means he is not in your top 5 too?
Nash only because of age...
Nash just weaker cause of his age, so it means actually 7? Yes Nash will decline but right now he is still in the competion for the 5 best Pointguard race.
As far as numbers, last season Willaims was overall the best PG for combined scoring and assists with 21 PPG and 9 APG.
but to score 21 PPG he need the ball pretty often in his hand, since he just shots 40,7% which is by far the worst percentage then lall mentioned PG here.. Also you need to round up to make him exceptional
And yes PG, is maybe the strongest position currently in the NBA so that doesn't make him necessary a weak player. But Wade and James are for me top 10 players in the league, that something different then beeing 5-7 best Pointguard in the league especially since there is a gap to the superstars on the Position.
and both stars carried the Heat, and they still have bosh who had an pretty good standing before he joined them and now isn't the star anymore.
Imho the Lakers have stronger stars over all(even without Nash) and would have a much better supporting cast then the Nets when the Howard deal happens. And you see what they reach the last two seasons.
