I already assumed your coffers were very healthy before the last influx of cash

I am quite content with my guys, probably spending more than I would like but need to while training guys out of position and still trying to be competitive in League and Cup, learned my lessons from last season with a gaping hole in my starters as well as a severe lack of depth. I am still considering one more season here to round them all out with great secondaries and very little extra wages... deeply considering it... right now sole focus is holding top spot in the Conference so that gate takings stay up.

I have a feeling I am going to draw a super team myself in or around the 4th as well.

I am spending a lot of time on my Utopian team as well trying to pull off my plan over there as well, things are looking well, but it's a lot of manual (time) work without scouting tools!

Yeah sounds like you're going along nicely.

I'm also spending more time on Utopian team at the moment. I just added a $18k SG today.

I had a great 1st (home) game win, then threw the second (away) for the cup against a tougher team (and won that and the all important $50k) and booked a second Cup game with a team that is tanking...so I'm stoked with that...providing he doesn't buy up.

So I'm currently 1-1 in league and have a tough home TV game today which I need to win. Then I'll throw away game and win cup again. I will do this until my cup run is over. Then switch to winning league games. If all goes to plan I should finish league with maybe a 13-9 record and should promote with all the other teams getting bumped up. Well...this is the plan.

thanks for out bidding me.
On another note, what skills do I need for u/21 PGs, i have 2 players I reckon should get there. Both have 11 Od and 10 passing already at 19.

Thoughts?

Sorry mate...really, but he's exactly what I've been waiting for: He's Aussie and will allow my gun PG (current LEague Assist leader) to deliver the ball to him so I can also run inside offenses. :-(

As for your trainee...I've been out of the loop for a bit although I've trained up U21 guards for Aussie and Argentina so I would recommend you chat with Mickyster abbout what he needs from his guards. (196488)

I would immediately suggest getting that OD up to at least 12 (but that might depend on his other skills, potential etc)...and passing to 12. He sounds like he's doing extremely well already. Give Mickyster a bbmail. If he directs you back to me (or you want to send me his skill set) I'll have a closer look and give you some advice.

THE MIGHTY OAKS CLOSE UP SHOP!

The Might Oaks have decided to go into tank mode this season. While we are happy with our 5-0 start and have both the personnel and cash to go all the way we have become depressed at the aging roster the once Mighty Oaks have been reduced to running in order to be successful.

The Mighty Oaks have decided to sell up, build the bank account, perhaps buy trainees and reload for season 28. However, a friendly word of warning:

1. The Mighty Oaks will NOT be relegating this season. So don't be caught playing us in a relegation series. ;-)
2. The Mighty Oaks WILL be champions next season. If you are planning to try next season, cancel your dreams. ;-)

So, effective tonight we will put the playing roster up for sale. For your purchasing interests:

PG Sarstedt (13435008) (Aussie) $85k salary. Helped Sid make ABBL last season and even at 33 is leading this league in assists and would do so for at least another season if purchased. Initial Sale price: $500k.

SG Muggleton (12019535) (Aussie) $47k salary. Hasn't played a game for me yet due to injury prior to purchase. Decent SG who would be a handy shooter for a DIv III team. Sale price: $50k

PF Halliday (13434429) (Aussie) $52k salary. Sorry Turfy Beef for outbidding you only days ago to now be selling him. However, this is a chance for you to get him cheaper than the $700k you were prepared to pay. This PF is very good and if he was a year or two younger I would hold on to him and ride him to Div II. He would be a great purchase for any Div III team or even II. Check out the assists for a big man regardless of offense. Sale price: $500k

SF Chefetz (16745783) $39k salary. This is my favourite player and I may not list him. If I do peeps will fins him a game changer at SF on outside offenses who defends that position well too. I think he could have got the MVP trophy this season had I run outside offenses and kept him at SG. An excellent low-salaried SG with great all round skills and secondaries. Sale price: $500k

SF Gorrieri (16631405) $23k salary. Low-salaried, all round solid performer. A great inclusion for any team. Sale price: $250k

SF Wojkcicki (15054186) $23k salary. Low-salaried, all round solid performer. Like Gorrieri he can be played in a few positions depending on offenses/defenses. Sale price: $250k

SG Piirainen [player=XXX] $16k salary. Okay backup. Sale price: $100k

Enjoy...

Wow, interesting turn of events. I'll be interested to see if any of those players (particularly the Aussies) are half decent ;)

So how is the good old III.15 this season? Div II is treating me good, very nice 4-1 start with my star SF Catic averaging 49ppg in those 4 wins :)

Best of luck to Motor City and the Peeps then, probably early favourites for the respective conference titles given this new announcement! I'll keep an eye on how it turns out and hope I'll be seeing one of you in II.2 next season.

Hey mate, sorry to hear RL has dictated the move, I hope all is ok.

Looks likewith your change in intentions, that it will be back to a battle of the usual suspects. The two teams below you at the moment look primed to make a run and I have my hands full with my equally successful red rival over here!

The season is young, and many will now rethink and retool I imagine to have an impact... will be great to see who has a crack...

Looks like there will be a couple of teams seeing an opportunity to rise this season now, especially on the Blue side (Lakeshow and Beefys) should make for an interesting season as whoever is the strongest to come out of the Blue side will be tough in the Final series, I just hope it is against me and that I can continue to win and train my guys for the remainder of the season.

If I can and get to promote, my guys will be primed to compete at the Div II level in their first season, and I won't be making mistakes like I did in my first and only season up there.

Good to see you doing well in your first season up as well, looks like you will be able to sustain the rigors of Div II and hang up there!
