D'oh. I messed up my line-up. It was a good game.

Doubt it. Playoff games come with sneaky surprises. I can just see myself getting knocked out of the playoffs in the first round.

Hey guys, didn't know you were all here talking. First division I have been in where people have talked. For those wondering why I tanked my season this year, basically I had spent all my money upgrading my arena. I still made enough every game to pay my players but the problem was they were all old and their skills were degrading every week. So instead of (maybe) winning this year and going up a league and having to replace every player I decided to go on and do it this year. If you notice my arena is finished, seating 21000 now. All of my players are young now (18 or 19) and I'm building around my low post players. Figure I will take a more gradual approach now that my arena is done and save up some money before trying to move up. I have a plan in place, its just going to take a few seasons to get it rolling now. With the arena being done, should be easier now.

Ah so there is a reason. Had a feeling it was something as such. Well on one hand it means you'll be around for another season. (I'll probably find myself wishing otherwise after a loss) But what's the point of playing if you don't find a few good rivals. Well keep rebuilding hopefully we have at least one last matchup before either of us move on

You're not terrible and most people do the take it easy not out of disrespect of their opponent but to try and build their team's level of play for the playoffs/relegation. It's one of the long term strategies a lot of us have figured out. Plus you can never underestimate the power of home court

You're a lot better than I was at my 3rd season. I was still in level 6 my third season and was in Botville. You're a good enough strategist that you knew using the same style over makes you predictable. I spent a good chunk of time looking at some of your previous games before I made my lineup and GDP. I don't do that for anyone I disrespect. The only teams I disrespect in Buzzerbeater are Bots.

Just keep training your guys and checking out a tread or two. You'll be all right. You're doing fine. I went from fighting relegation my first season in this league to making the playoffs the next.

Take It Easy ("TIE") builds enthusiasm for your team. Its not about disrespect but improving your team's enthusiasm. Take a look at the buzzerbeater guide under the help forum. I've quoted some it below. Learning about enthusiasm will help your team win in the future.

From the Guide:
It is a generally accepted rule that playing TIE with an enthusiasm level of 8 is the same as playing Normal with an enthusiasm level of 5. This is debatable and there are many managers who do not agree with this statement

I'll just add that I think that it's better to TIE every game and then very occasionally Normal for a key matchup. By a wide margin. Enthusiasm is just that important.

Sheesh after seeing the box scores for the QFs, losing by 14 doesn't seem that bad.

I think both semifinal games are a toss-up
