Really a thread like this should have been started by a BB. Shame on them for leaving it to the people who are being experimented with.

I have a question for all the managers in Africa, if they don't mind. Is there any connection that you know of between the merger and the 20% reduction in teams in Africa this season, including 7 out of 7 in Ghana?

Next a question for the BBs, which of course will be ignored. Will there be any changes to the draft in the merged league? Clearly if there isn't there are going to be countries with absolutely zero chance of a decent draftee. Obviously this will encourage tanking for draft picks, and we are being led to believe the BBs are against tanking. This is not just an important issue for the African nations, but also for other countries who suspect they might be next, and for everyone interested in NTs in general.

Hi,

I am sure there is no connexion between the merger and the 20% reduction in teams in Africa this season. I play for 20 seasons and i've seen a lot of managers come and leave.

I guess we'll have to wait for the news, maybe next weekend.

If they don't do something about the draft that enables the NTs to have meaningful members they might as well plan to remove NT competitions.

Completely agree, especially regarding the NT. For some teams it will beome like playing in a bot league, and with competitions depending on draw and points difference, it will mean luck is even more important than it is already.

No African league this season? Or we may wait a few hours/days?
