just read this thread and I see different types of concern.

One idea: should we instead of putting max skills (not fun according to me) just impose training restrictions to each team? I mean for example: you must at least train 4 times your guards in a season, 4 times your inside men or something based on that logic...

Just food for thought.

If the skill caps for the potentials are structured correctly we should be fine...

With the slower training speeds a 18yo superstar will take 5 seasons to surpass a season 3 allstar who has had 3 seasons of training pumped into him. By this time teams (and game economics) should be more stable and so I expect (hope) that we will look back and see this as just a 'growing pain' of the early gamestage.

I think that the strategy you describe is being carried out by more teams than you think (i dont mind confessing this is what I do) as we must be close to the skill caps on the allstars now so no point to pump training into guys only to see little to no improvement after 3-4 weeks....

I guess you can tell from the Transfer listed players who is close/reached their skill cap... either teams are cashing in as they fear or see no more improvement (or I suppose they dont want to carry the wages)

1.: this was a reference to Hattrick
2.: where having divine attack was not/ is not at all a necessary prerequisite to win whatever you want.

yep it is

Then it would be better to cut off skills(so for example max skill will be brilliant)..of cut off salary...then a game would look more like real word....

and yes i hate hattrick...i stop play it after 2.5years because of salary...no one can have divine attack without 2millions in red per weak....
Hope this good game will not go in that way in future!

Problem is that in real world are players deciding on their own that they would accept a transfer.. here we have boneheads which do what you want, so that's why there can't be any salary restriction, because it would be contraproductive and everyone on top would have greatest players without any barrier.. that's not good

you have to understand that if there is any factor from reality missed, you cannot have everything you want
