OD on an 18yo trainee:

Outside Def.: mediocre ↑
Handling: strong ↑
Inside Def.: respectable ↑

This is not cross training, as we already know OD trains ID, HA and DR as secondaries.

so the slow down isn't that worse ;) I quite sure this would happen even without crosstraining.

Do you know how much of an increase from 7.9 to 8.0 is? Is is too much?
According to the CoachParrot, an increase of .1 is about $50 for a PG with 8 reb and about $21 for a PG with 2 reb. You can't seriously be whinging over that. Add one lower tier seat to your arena and you will pay it off quickly enough.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

you guys are really too stupid too understand and unwilling to read what i write. so who is whining using a stupid example? i was talking about 1 or 2 FULL pops extra that you can easily get during a full career off cross training. full pop i am not talking about 7.9 to 8. I am talking about 7.0 to 8.0. On a high end guard 2 levels even 1 level adds alot extra salary to a shooting guard. read what i am writing. not so much to a point guard or a small forward. I am talking about a shooting guard. do i want to have 1 or 2 rebounding on my shooting guard? for that amount off monster salary on top off the actual salary? no i dont.

on a high end guard the difference between level 7 and level 9 rebounding is between 25 and 30k. this is not 50$ or 21$ per 0.1 skill. i wont calculate what it really is for you, because you act like you are highly intelligent and i am sure you can calculate that for yourself. if you have 2 high end guards that adds quite a lot to your salary... and i have added 1 lower tier seat to my arena, i learned something new from you today and i am greatfull for that. 1 lower tier seat earns you 25k per seat :)

Sorry, I tuned out after that.

(edit: to actually add to the topic... I trained stamina and got 10 pops in stamina out of 15 players and nothing else this week)

i get the point your trying to make , and no one in here has actually read your post or taken any of it in .

you are correct that a full pop on a high end will cost you 21k + , and your point that over the course of 7+ seasons of training a player may get one or 2 of these pops is plauseable so i do agree that it cause some issues to some very unlucky players.

i read a post around here somewhere where a manager much less lazy then me worked out the % of this happening and from memory it was extremely small.

so while i understand what your saying i personally think unless ur insanely unlucky its prob no going to effect you too highly.

im still waiting for people to see the effect this will have on national team n under 21 teams.

thanks man for reading my post and for trying to understand what i am saying.

this is how people should respond to other peoples post.

you might be right and you might get unlucky and get 2 pops. or perhaps you only get 1. we do not know yet. (in my example)

some other people stated and i can feel their pain, that they have been training players out off position for certain reasons. to get a benefit over other teams. I can see that point too. I do have to say though that the full extent off cross training wont be fully visable until players get trained from now onwards a full 6-7-8 seasons and than to compare the extra "random" pops with what they would have gotten in the old system. So it might all be a storm in a glass water

For me the coolest part off this game always was that you can create unique players and that you could decide yourself how to train your players. in a certain extent, they have simplified the process and you have less hand in how to train and create your own players. but like i said, we have to wait and see what the full extent will be.
