SBBL - Season 17 - Playoff - Battle of the Big Four

Big 8 SF - Eric United vs Sessioes Doers

This season will mark Eric and SD to rival up for the first time on their Franchise History. Both team has tied 1-1 record in regular season games, with each team barely won by their opponent. SD was beating Eric 84-82 in an old fashioned way, a Buzzerbeater shot made by Phil Hanson. On the other game, Eric was able to hold on for 109-108 win after both team were scoreless on the last 50 seconds.

A coincidence that might boost tonight game rating, as the newly named MVP Eike Balkhausen will try to stop the Eric United's superstar bigman Cedomir Gusic. Balkhausen have a tendency not to head-to-head his opponent, but tonight, he won't be able to avoid, as Gusic is Eric's key player down the floor. Slowed down him could mean a Grand Final for Sessioes Doers.

Another SD's star, Ricardo Paz, will also be a factor on this game. The Colombian sharpshooter always benefited from frequent double team on Phil Hanson and Balkhausen, enable him to explore a lot on the space. Eric's Rainer Mand and Sergi Mateu will see assignment to guard the league most dangerous wingman aside than Fat-A's Yeo Tse Hui.

Edge : Both team are on EVEN. Although SD owns the HCA, Eric has been around on the league for sometime and knows how to win on the road.

Great 8 SF - Fat Alexander vs Pekanbaru Jaguars

Again, this can't be avoided, as both team are Great 8 top 2 team. They are expected to fight to represent Great 8 on the Grand Final.

The battle will feature the similar squad from last season. Fat-A will be featuring Yeo Tse Hui, Gianpaolo Montecucco and their Newly appointed Zachary Kutkin. His veteran presence will be needed by the Fat-A rosters of young players to perform well on playoff stage, which haveen't been achieved by Fat-A. Kutkin was the reason Fat-A able to escape Cheesecake 112-108 on semifinal despite they don't put much effort on the game.

Jaguars will roll the dice to their second straigh attempt to Grand Final, after revamped their backcourt players, dismissing Sorin Niculae and Thiseas Chantampakis to bring in Zhong Xuanwen and Tommy Kupila, Petrus Alexandersson buddies. Unlike last playoff, this time Jaguar will have their backup bigman in local players Lim Eng Ze and improved 19 years old Li An Wen.

Although Jaguars won all their league battle from Fat-A, they still have no formula yet to stop Fat-A Yeo Tse Hui, considering Jaguars team are the best defensive on SBBL. Like the 1990ers NBA best defensive team New York Knicks, they still can't stop Michael Jordan.

Edge
: Pekanbaru Jaguars. It's been some time that Fat-A haven't beat Jaguars at Tribuana Arena.

A look at who will be joining SBBL next season:

From II.1 - Compassvale United vs Final Fantasy XIII
NT player Wang Xiang Jia and speedy Italian PG, Giovanni Duskhu should be good enough to get Compassvale United back to SBBL. Edge: Compassvale United

From II.2 - slinger vs SLZH
Bigman Anselm Martí and Harry Acuña of slinger will find it tough going up against Singapore Cup champion, SLZH. SLZH are eager to get back to SBBL so that they can finance their B3 challenge next season. Edge: SLZH

From II.3 - Xavis vs Team Sleeps
Xavis will be looking to bouce right back up after being relegated last season. Although they have a relatively smaller squad, they managed to stay injury free and will be led by II.3's MVP player, Pravdomil Mlýnek. Edge: Xavis

From II.4 - B.B.C.C vs Angel & Devil
B.B.C.C ranked 20 and Angel & Devil ranked 21 have both been to the SBBL before. Based on ranking, this should be close playoff between the two for promotion.
