this is very bad news

Darryl Austin is a terrible player. We dont need 300k mono skilled BIGS that create 6 turn overs a game and that wont shoot more than 0.100% from the outside...

we need more balanced players that can do both.

I will be training one of my prospects in this fashion, so i will keep a training schedule and hopefully try to prove whether i'm right or wrong :)

Also brewer was quite high in inside shot i believe, we should keep a look on his training this year to see if that has a 'quicker' effect on his lower skills.

We'll have to see, I'll talk with him on what he's training and monitor it a bit.

And I strongly object to the statement that Austin is a terrible player, very tough to use well(read cost effective) at the club team level yes, but at the NT level?

any player that has several attrocious skills at that salary level is by far from ideal for a club or NT level...

6 turnovers or whatever in a game is too much at NT level.

and if you wonder why he is selected for the NT, that is simple to answer, because we have noone else...

its a trap i think a lot of big trainers fall into (when they even care).
they think they will change to outside training but never do (hard when they have a flow of centres), or are just happy to sell them on and they arent bought by outside trainers because their salaries are too high to play them as reserve while they are trained (not to mention out of position in the cup/scrimmages).

i have been recommending to trainers of monoskilled centres to plan ahead for outside training before their salaries grow too much, but i get the feeling they will only meet the same end :<

I understand why some trainers avoid the secondaries on 210+cm players, it really takes a ridiculous amount of time.

I'm really looking forward to how Ceska Republic NT does this season at worlds. It will a say a lot for primaries vs secondaries, and HCA.

ive noticed a manager advertising his new draftee as a future NT player blah blah blah - needless to say noone should believe what a manager claims until you can check them with the NT staff!

I contacted the manager in question a few days ago asking him to get in touch if he wants to train him (as he will be a ridiculous project) or otherwise list him at a sensible price (which he is not at right now).

needless to say i havent received a response, but instead have noticed his exaggerated advert!
Brilliant.

it is a must we keep players like this trained.

with good OD and some other guard training I am sure he will make it into U21 and has potential to make NT

very interesting to see what he goes for. could be living evidence of the premium you pay for 18 year old vs 19 year old.
looks like he must have got about 8 pops last season, plus two more last friday. hopefully he'll play a full game in the cup this week :)

1.5m as an 18 year old was crazy or is it just me? will he go for over 2m this time?
