The last time I checked, the bottom teams still got the first picks in the draft. So we simply disagree on this one.

First picks dont guarantee a great rookie. Do we agree here?

Obviously, but you're only debating a point that I was never trying to make in the first place.

I would like...

2) a year off from look inside

...Just take it off the game for a season. Completely.

I don't think this is very realistic, but I think it speaks to the point that LI is broken (too powerful). I think there needs to be an inside defense equivalent of the 1-3-1... "Defend the Paint" or something. I hesitate to ask the BB's to try another tactic given that they tried and came up with a pretty mediocre Iso/Box+1 but still I think it's not fair to have a super outside defense like the 1-3-1 but no super inside defense, especially given that the 2-3 still has some question marks surrounding it.

Though one could consider you need more passing to get the ball inside, don't you think ? It should be harder without passing.

I mean even more against an inside zone, it should be harder to score in the paint if you have no passing.

So if passing and SB aren't trained, the disadvantages cancel themselves out.

2-3 doesn't lower the % of the bigs, every pass they receive seems to set them up well but they rarely get the ball as if passing lanes are blocked. This is regardless of the orientation in offense. There are too many open shots from close range as moutlinho has shown. And there is a small imbalance i think in the way the GE evaluate shooting opportunities against a 2-3 zone.
It means that what makes for the inside defense rating in 2-3 is useless. The GE will simply ignore chances in the paint and 2-3 won't even be able to stop the few oportunities of the opponent's C. If he is not well assisted, it should be harder for him to score. It is the least this zone should do, to prevent easy buckets by the opponent's C.
