Absolutely. If you can't do it, it's just your incompetence. Why should the game be so easy? Do you want to be spoon fed?

haha, yes I completely agree with you...

So what does your absolutely correct statement tell us about a rule which has the same thresholds for all the different division levels?

Anyway this is not the place for a discussion about the boycott: we don't want to end up like like certain GMs and BBs and post off topic stuff at every possible chance.

No we shouldn't. At 4,080,000 in the bank you will be hit by the 35% boycott (so 140% less in gates over the duration of the boycott). The rationale is that a team can get better and win games if the money is spent on one/two/three players. Some people (including me) are very doubtful that this claim is justified at some levels of competition.

As said, let's not derail this thread. This is about the state of the transfer list.

Speaking of TL prices and bidding and such, I'd like to toss in my 2 cents:
Very frequently, I see where a team will jump in and make a huge raise in the current bid for a player, in the neighborhood of triple or even quadruple the current bid. After that, he disappears, without making another bid. This jumps the price quite a bit, possibly leading to overpaying for a player. Would it be possible to put a limit on how much you can raise a current bid? This could help bring prices down a bit, or at least help control the bidding process.

Sometimes I know this will be my final chance at making a bid before the player sells. Work, vacation, sleep, no reception in a remote area -- life happens -- and sometimes I need to make a solid bid as a last ditch effort to get the player. I'm sure I'm not alone in this situation. I wouldn't want this option not to be available.

What Manon said except you can obviously outbid yourself, like this: 1,000>10,000>100,000>1,000,000>4,000,001.
Also what Cletus said, with the addition that some people overbid on Sunday before their funds reduce due to the Monday financial update, so they are able to bid that little extra bit.
Also, an autobid feature could have limited this, but was voted down by us, the users.
