~ GACHAI & MAMBA 1.0. ENTERS THE ARENA
The BuzzerBeater's Best tournament, Season 13 is leading to the second round of the competition.

BC GoliaF (194219), Azərbaycan team, ranked at the 2177th position of the worldwide club rankings for Gachai. InguC (59501), Venezuelan team, ranked at the 114th position for Mamba 1.0. Prathet Thai champions are about to enter the competition and struggle against the champions of other nations. If it might be a formality for Gachai, it is going to be a different ball game for Mamba 1.0. But the similarity for both is that they'll try to gain the ticket for the next stage out of their bases. Knowing how important is home court advantage in these kind of matches and we'll be aware how stressful Somdetsfinest & more particularly JBlack are feeling right now !

Good luck to them, and rendez-vous :
The 7/14/2010 3:00:00 PM for Gachai @t BC GoliaF
The 7/15/2010 12:30:00 AM for Mamba 1.0 @t InguC

~ HARD TO SEE THE MONKEYS FALLING DOWN THE TREES
MonkeyPhong, GM of the ChangThai franchise, is living "a real nightmare" since the beginning of this season.

AFTER WINNING THE FINALS AGAINST CASTLE WOOD, the franchise got rewarded by being promoted at the top division, joining the-best-of-the-best such as the Bangkok Warriors (59312) and Gachai (59283) in Prathet Thai I.1. But since the start of season 13, the champion of the League II.1 Play-Off Finals season 12 struggles game after game. The dream quickly turned into a real nightmare. Indeed, along its 4 defeat in a row, the 13th best roster in Prathet Thai has just lost it's Cup game against a former competitor : WoRKk (59306) 93 @t 107 (25650957). & things are not going to get better for the Monkeys ... The next game will be out of their base against a pretender for the relegation struggle : Warrioroos (59298).

In League II.1, we all hope that the Monkeys will swing tree to tree once again without any injuries.

~ PRATHET THAI STILL FIGHTING FOR THE CONTINENTAL CUP
After 3 games, the Elephants are yet the sole master of their faith in the current Asia Championship Tournament !

3 games. 2 victories. 1 defeat. & the 4th and last qualifying place in Pool C. The report of Thailand National Team is simple : the country can make it on its way to the "Graal" without waiting for ones failure. For the pessimists, this official report may seem a tiny bit unsophisticated -- but after an amazing defeat against U.A.E. (122 - 97) (11296) that placed the country on an uncomfortable position, knowing that "we" are not depending on others is like sun beams in a clouded sky.

Defeat or Success. It doesn't really matter for "we" : Khorn Thai. Let's hold on to each other and train our players the best we can !

~ ONE MORE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME UNTIL THE ALL STAR WEEKEND.
Every year, the traditional half season break confronts not necessarily the best players of each League, but the most appreciated ones by the fans.

Big 8 or Great 8 ? This is the question present in each BuzzerBeater basket ball fans mind around the globe. And how can it be different ? In just one week from now, the most appreciated players of each conferences are about to struggle to know which conference is the most competitive one ! Not only for the glory, this game can give a preview to what will happen during the PlayOff finals.
Last year, the League I.1 All Star Weekend ended up after a competitive game that saw the Big 8 won against the Great 8 (149 - 143) ... just like the League I.1 PlayOff finals that saw Gachai (member of the Big 8) won against HaloHola (member of the Great 8) in ... 3 games.

But that's not all. Indeed, relating to functional specifications sended by the BuzzerBeater federation to all its team member, a new scout legislation process has to be respected by all General Managers :
In addition, there will be a "scouting combine" at the allstar break, where every player in the upcoming draft class will show up to be measured. You can spend 10 points at any point after the allstar break to send a scout to the combine to learn the ages and heights for all 48 players in the upcoming draft class. Scouting points may be spent at any moment until the draft is run, but cannot be carried over into the next season. Please note that the talent pools and draft order will remain the same. It is only the method of scouting those pools that will be new.

This can be a new start for Prathet Thai to build competitive teams thanks to the talent we'll scout this season !

~ GIVE EVERYTHING YOU'VE GOT !
After a frustrating match against Iran -- defeat 99 - 86 -- Prathet still got one last chance to qualify for the next round.

"Match-of-the-Year". That's how we can qualify the next match of Prathet Thai & Saudi Arabia NTs. After 2 victories for 3 defeats for each team, the 2 nations still have a chance to qualify for the rest of the Asia Championship Tournament -- Season 13 that takes place in New Zealand. Both still have a chance to qualify, but what an incredible scenario given to the world. Indeed, Prathet Thai and Saudi Arabia have to come apart one another as they'll struggle for the final ticket on their last pool match. The 55th world rank (Prathet Thai) against the 60th world rank (Saudi Arabia). The 5th (Prathet Thai) against the 4th in Pool C of the current competition (Saudi Arabia) ... "Match-of-the-Year" we told you. Who said that Prathet Thai doesn't play exciting matches ?

~ THEY'VE MADE IT ! ROAD TO THE SECOND ROUND !
The death match between Prathet Thai & Saudi Arabia has turned in favor of the sensational Elephants !

32 points. That's the difference of level that separated Prathet Thai and Saudi Arabia for the qualification to the 2nd round of the Asia Championship Tournament. Qualified as a death match by BB experts, the world was waiting for a close game in which the two protagonists would have been separated by few points. But it was nothing of the sort.
At the very first quarter, the Elephants slog the game by scoring 45 points, leaving their opponents at 18 points behind. Thanks to Somdetsfinest, the Elephants were tactically superior and impregnated a rhythm that the Arabians couldn't handle. The first half ended by a +33 in favor of Prathet Thai. Ite missa est. The rest of the game was just a question of control and the game ended by a harsh 130 - 98 (11308).

Prathet Thai has validate its ticket for the second round. Even though the future of the competition may seem dark for our nation, on the paper, we're still in course for the title. Let's not deny oneself pleasure !

Getting out of the first round was not easy. getting out of the second round will be even more difficult. But managers of NT players can help out by paying strict attention to their player's Game Shape. Getting it to 8 or better still 9 should be at the top of your priority lists.
Go Thailand!

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

~ RENDEZVOUS FOR SEASON 14 !
With a tremendous double-double (12 points, 19 rebounds), Somdet Wongkumlao pleased the fans and is looking forward for next season.

They didn't have the choice. With a tiny chance of qualification, the young Elephants had to achieve an extraordinary performance and beat the 49th best U21 BB basket ball nation of the moment : Ísland. Most General Managers gave Siam Dau boys no chance to win. But it was without counting on Somdet Wongkumlao and the dignity of one strong nation.

Before the game, the opponents believed in their chances, thus underestimating the land of smile. 'We have few chances to reach next round. We need a great win vs Prathet Thai and hope. So, we need your support!', claimed Tuddu, U21 General Manager of Ísland. Thereby, the young Elephants rolled their sleeves up and got the job finished after a frustrating international season. Even if they didn't rip off the qualification from Iran, the U21 are progressing and we have no doubt, that next season, things will be brighter for our Prathet.

~ DID YOU KNOW?
How to earn more money per week!

Sawadee Khrap!

Phom (English: I'm) going to give you a little advice about how you can increase your finances per week. And thereby win more money in order to become more competitive!

First step: Your current situation
Let's get to our 'Manage my team page' and check what information appears on the 'Finances' box. Beyond your 'Expenses' (Player salaries, Staff salaries, Scouting) we all got a 'Revenue' cell in which we can see the income of our: Attendance, Merchandise, TV Contract. Attendance is our principle income. And the attendance is directly linked on our Arena capacity. Our 'Last home game' shows the number of fans that assisted to the last official (Championship, National Cup) match. And more important, we can see at how many percentage our arena was full. IF OUR ARENA WAS 100% FULL, IT MEANS WE HAVE SOME OPPORTUNITIES TO EARN MORE MONEY ...

Second step: The Arena page
Now let's get to our 'Arena' page by clicking on the name of our team on the menu, and then click on the 'Arena' link on the Team Link column.
From there, we have two options to increase our revenue :
1) Increase the ticket price
2) Expanding our arena

1) Increase the ticket price
If we can full 100% our arena, it means that the supporters are currently happy with the results. And that means that they will be more inclined to pay more money to assist to their favorites team games. We can change the price by getting to the bottom of the 'Arena' page and choose the price for each seats in our stadium: Bleachers, Lower Tier, Courtside Seats, Luxury Boxes.
We need to be careful with the changes. If we fix the prices too high, we may cause an unattended attendance and gain less money then previously. If we fix the prices to low, our arena may be full but we gain less attendance revenue than what the supporters may be ready to pay. Check how the other General Managers of your League fixes their prices and try to find the best calculation method ;).

2) Expanding your arena
Again, if your arena is 100% full, it means that more supporter wants to assist to our home games. So why won't we expand our arena to welcome everybody? The 'Attendance History' box gives us informations about the way we fill our arena. If we always fill at 100% a specific seat that means we have to increase its capacity. Check out the capacity of your League opponents to see the way their supporters react and try to improve your capacity in order to gain more money.

If you need any tips on BuzzerBeater, it will be a pleasure for me to help khorn thai.
