I don't think you're going to fit in very well here.

Am I that much of a dick?

NO ONE at this table ordered a rum & Coke
Charles: Penn has some good people
A CT? Really?
Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score
Any five are live

Remember that the players will be ranked in order, so that can be helpful.

I'm going to need you to clarify that last line a bit.

From the News:

At the start of each season (for Season 13, later in the season) the draft page will be available with a set of baseline rankings. These rankings are done based upon your coaching staff's very rough assessment of the talent of the player, based on a combination of the current skills and the talent of each player, but as in real life, the ranking will be imperfect, and some players will even be ranked very inaccurately. You will have to invest further in scouting these players to find some hidden gems and expose some talent for being over-hyped. Each team will have its own baseline rankings, but the amount of uncertainty in each set of rankings will be the same.

Yeah, I read that. It was the "in order" part I wanted you to clarify (I think Hambone VT is asking for the same clarity). What sort of order?

Is everyone's rough list in the same order?

Is your reading stamina Awful? =)

Re-read the last line (and yes, I'm being snarky on a non-official level dammit)

I don't think you're going to fit in very well here.

Too nice?

They'll be in order of quality from best to worst, but the rankings will be imperfect - not scouting at all and relying solely on the baseline rankings will leave you somewhat blind.

Ah. And I'm assuming that each team will have the same player(s) ranked a bit differently by the scouts, to prevent collusion?

It's like those Japanese martial arts movies where they talk for like 20 seconds and the subtitle is one word.

In other words, that is a yes.

Umm . . . yes? :-)

But an important question about the new scouting system. Doesn't this encourage collusion among teams? For example, I find 3 friends; each of us scout different players, and only one of us pays the 10 points to scout at the combine. Between the four of us we have scouted every player, and maybe even scouted multiple players twice. So we know info about every player. This seems problematic to me . . .

On that note I have a great idea. Why don't all of us excluding Edju collude and make sure he gets jack for a draftee!

On the same note why don't we all agree to CT Edju and see if collectively we can manage to relegate him to DIII where he belongs.
