Was there a difference in how many games each played or teh presence of other starts on one team versus the other?

I think players earn the votes through performances. If a player plays lots of games with a team versus only a few, then I Think that makes a higher likely good of being an MVP. I could be wrong though.

His player actually played more games than mine. I bought my guy early in the season.

His player scored over 600 total points and his team went 20-2

My player scored only 450 points and my team also went 20-2

It is true that this GM apparently retired after his team was beat out in the second round of the playoffs, and this player was immediately put on the TL. But the GM was active through the playoffs and was online just a couple days ago, so his retirement made little sense to me.

One clue that came to mind was, this GM bought a national team player for close to $1M, set him on his bench for a game, then sold him for close to $1M. I'm not sure if he maybe was caught cheating there and was retired because of that or not, and his cheating maybe costs his player the MVP. I doubt he went bankrupt and was retired because of that, because he didn't build his stadium and didn't spend his money on TL, so he had to have money.

Can you just retire yourself? I thought someone told me you had to just let your account go inactive for 6 weeks for you to be retired. This GM retiring is the biggest mystery to me. He was always online. And we talked often. I would see him online watching his games be played. I thought he was probably the best GM in our league....... besides me, of course :)

The player in question here was put on the TL when the owner of the team retired. The player was on the TL and didn't sell at his starting price, so he was retired. Is there any way to get this player put back on the TL?

I wish I had bought him before he retired because I liked the player. He has won 3 MVPs in his career and led his league in scoring a handful of times. I'm not sure his skills would translate well to a higher division, but I would still like to have this guy.

the problem for him was that he wasn't in the league anymore, that have nothing to do with special GM sanctions so that wouldn't be a sign of cheating.

But the player was in the league from day one all the way through the second round of the playoffs. If the MVP is based on the regular season, then he should have gotten votes, because he was there thru the regular season and beyond.

Also, he was still on the team the day MVP was released. It wasn't until two days later that he was retired, as far as I can tell.

Not trying to be argumentive or dispute what you're saying, because I certainly think you're right. It's the only thing that really makes sense why he didn't get votes.

Is MVP voting done by real-life BB admins, or are they voted on by a computer program built into the BB game?

I think it is also an question who get the trophy who disqualified such player. is it his employer or his old team(especially in innerleague transfer). Which voter gonna vote for him, did the hometown voters are still biased towards him or should hate him.
