IMO, one of the biggest prblems new users have is understanding how to be competitive, the get a rush of blood to the head when they see a $50k salary PF for sale on the TM for $800k, blow all their cash, team is still shite, 6 weeks later they think the game is bad and then leave/never log on again.
what about instead of a tutoring thread, why not makea thread that has basic dot point timelined activities that the user should/shouldnt do, and just forward them that?
eg:
Week 1
- welcome to Buzzerbeater blah blah
- here is someonew that you can msg for help
- setting your lineup 4 ur first game etc
Week 2
- training do's n don'ts and who on ur team u should be training.
- transfer market and why you shouldnt go out n buy that $100k salary player.
- the best tactic for ur team
- Week 4
- enthusiasm and why u shouldnt CT just yet and y u should TIE that bot team.
- othe parts of the game to ignore for now
week 8
- advanced tactics
- buying better players
etc etc
etc
basically just a guide to sending them on their way for the first few months of the game, such that they havent stuffed up their team financially and have confidence in knowing how the basics of the game works AND have had some success because of it at least hopefully they wont have an attitude of "this game is stupid, it dosnt work" etc etc....
just an idea anyways.
