Isolated issues are not single handedly going to change things...but I think overall addressing issues helps. Not addressing issues hurts. That is what I think details the difference between hattrick and BB. Although I think BB is waay better/funner, hattrick does this thing where they constantly implement changes and you get this feeling of constant improvement. It seems to be working for them. So even though I think BB is the better game overall...hattrick is much much more successfull...and that has put the money in their pockets to continue to develop...which in turn gives them more resources and so forth.
But that's somewhat reasonable. Are you sure you're feeling OK? ;)
Yeah, I can see people being turned off by the relatively small amounts of change going on in the game - although hattrick is notorious for having their features announced and then delayed for seasons, there's at least the notion that changes are on the way. It certainly is plausible for people to get frustrated here when they see basically almost nothing done to the game (short of stats), especially if they don't peruse the bug forum to find out some of the things that Marin has fixed up.
But I was more addressing the things like "if we eliminate tanking, we'll be up to 60k users" or people talking about how people are quitting because all of the teams at the top divisions are old teams.I don't have any hard stats on this so I'm speculating as much as anyone, but I would expect that greater than 90% of the people that end up leaving don't have the foggiest idea of how top division teams or NT/U20 teams play, nor did they run into the tanking issue to a significant amount in the first place.
