I found this thread (381.53) mentions what grouping of skill sets complement each other, thus maximize training

The two main groups are:
Outside Skills:
Jump Shot + Jump Range + Outside Defence + Passing

Inside Skills:
Inside Shot + Inside Defence + Rebounding + Shot Blocking

what`s jump range?

From the rules:

Jump Range: A player with a higher jump range will find that the effectiveness of his jump shot decreases less with distance.

i use Jump range on all Positions without the center ;) Ok the Pf is allowed to have just medicore, the shooting guards need strong-proficient skill their in my team, so maybe around his Jump Shot skill.

the original question was which where MOST important.

I clearly know that JR is an important skill for SF, but so is any other. In fact the perfect SF would have each skill as good as the others, and maybe JS a little higher. But that was not his question, on contrary, he stated he can not focus on all of them.
I am putting much attention into defense, more offensive managers could indeed swap the rebounding skill for the jump range in my preferences list...

They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.

a question which comes along in this thread, what how much Jumprange which positions should have ;) So i tell him what i think.

I think for a SF is is generell good if he has an average skillset, maybe with preferences on one offensiv way, and the defense Skills. My outside Focus should have pretty similiar jumprange and Jumpshot, because i made good experience which such combinations and my inside SF with an comparable Jumpshot but just mediocore average JR struggled if he come from bench which such orientation.

Skills which i ignore for a sf is useally blocking, maybe handling and driving could be a bit weaker then the rest.

But why is GM-BadLarry putting Handling and Driving for SF on second position?
Small Forward
(1) Jump Shot, Jump Range, Outside Defense
(2) Handling, Passing, Driving
(3) Inside Shot, Inside Defense
(4) Rebounding

I think both skills are impotante for SF, because they are kind of playmakers next to PG.
And therefor Handling and Driving are pretty usefull. At all when you play offence with an outside focus:
Handling: Allows the player to avoid losing the ball to the opposing defense while dribbling. Important against a pressing defense (to be added later) or, in general, against good perimeter defense. Teams with good handling will have more success at creating quality shot opportunities.

Driving is pretty much the same, just that propably it helps more the individual player than the team:
Driving: Allows the player to create his own shot without a good pass from a teammate. Better driving creates shots more often and creates better shots on averag

The list from GM Bad larry, is a piece of experience like mine ;) You could play your positions in different ways with succes, so i write my opion/experience with SF and you the one from Bad Larry.

I would probadly say if w are free to design a Forward with XY Skillpoints, everyone with looks pretty differnt without beeing a "bad player", in center or PG i would bet they look more similiar.

don't get us wrong. EVERY skill is important to SF. We just pointed out which where the least of the importants.
