The first game for Season 24s Australian Under 21 year old team is against India this coming Monday night

The Wombat King, Mickyster (President of the Wombat Federation and Manager of the Australian Under 21 team) has selected the following 13 players

Please note that more players can be added to this squad through out the season, so if you have a player who you think may be good enough please contact Mickyster (196488).

Time to introduce the players

21yo HOF PG Burl Barth is from the Hammersly Hammerheads who only started this game in Season 20.
Magnificent effort by Manager Rooboy who is currently in Div III.5, to draft Barth with his 1st draft pick in his first season and then train him into the Under 21s.

21yo HOF PG Poluta’u Brar is a home grown draftee from the Rimmers who is currently in Div III.5.
Manager Whitewind who is quite prominent on the forums and surprisingly him and his team have only been around since season 17

Claude Goolagong (Evonnes son) is a 21yo Superstar PG who was drafted by his current Manager, Hawkman into the Henly Beach Hawks who have been around since season 11 and is currently in Div II.2

The first of the two 20 year olds in the team is Christopher Birss who is a 20yo Perennial Allstar SG whom Manager Skylor drafted into the Dumprings. The Dumprings were formed in season 12 and are currently in Div III.2

Joey Sercombe is a 21yo Superstar who Manager Balev Drafted into his team the Learvins, which was formed in Season 10 and is currently in Div III.9

21yo Perennial Allstar Brent Wang is currently playing in Div III.7 . His Manager AFool, drafted young Wang into the JeXters. The JeXters have been around since season 10.

Chung Trieu (nick named the Truth) is a 21 yo Superstar SF and was drafted into the Guanzheng Goldfish which is Managed by abigfishy . Currently playing in the ABBL the Guanzheng Goldfish first appeared on the scene way back in season 10

The last of the players who was drafted by their current Managers is Albert Sacks who is a 21yo MVP SF Team Lordy which is managed by Lordy is currently in Div III.15 and has been shooting hoops since Season 10

Will Williams is a 21yo HOF whos Manager, Sid Viscious paid 2 mill for as a 19yo . Hopelessly Addicted is currently in Div II.3 and has been active since Season 6

The first of two players that the Possum Chasers have in the current Australian Under 21 team is Andrew Garachico who is a 21yo is MVP Centre. Manager PossumPete brought Garachico for $253K as an 18yo. The Possum Chasers first fielded a team way back in season 11 and are currently in Div III.16.

The only player who is owned by an international team is Brad Baldyga who is a 21yo Allstar Centre. Manager Lacasitos and his team ADEPUF Figueres are currently in Espana DIV IV.19
The shrewd and experienced lacasitos whos team has been around since season 14 brought Baldyga as an 18yo for a bargain price of $2 thousand

The 21yo Superstar Centre Roosevelt Feaunati is the Possum Chasers second player in the squad. Possum Pete who obviously has an eye for potential Under 21 players coupled with the ability to train them, brought Feaunati as an 18yo for $600K.

The second 20 year old player in the team is Michael Wayne who is a MVP Centre.
Purchased as an 18yo for $500K by Mllama of the Lewisham Wombats who are currently in Div II.1.
The Lewisham Wombats are one of the oldest Australian teams playing Buzzerbeater having first taken the court way back in season 2. They are also one of the most successful teams having spent 21 years in the ABBL and are past winners of an ABBL Championship and three Battlers Tournament Cups.

Looking forward to taking on India. A couple of game shape issues. But most the boys are fighting fit and ready to make our country proud.

Fantastic work Sid I am loving this what a wonderful write up of the players and the team. That was an incredibe stat of all but one still in Australia and also of the majority being with the team that drafted them. I will point out that also about half the players on the team are managed by current or ex-Fishbowl teams. It is a credit to all of you guys that are in the high divisions like II and the ABBL that can compete at that level and still train a player to the U21 team. Amazing.

Thanks guys for all the kind words.

Big thanks to Mickyster for the suggestion and ideas on content

One stat I would have loved, but I didnt know how to find out, would have been how many Aussie Under 21 National team players each of the Managers had through out their history.

Williams is my second with Fallon having played before (I dont count Ryders scrimmage as nice as gesture as it was)
