You got my vote because I like your views on shotblocking, well done on being elected mate. Please check up on my boy Barry (39461316) who I just sold, he has 72 TSP and if trained right can be a great player down the line. My Utopia team has expired but I picked up a level 7 trainer and have these two guys (39461371) (39996774) running on autopilot 1 on 1 forwards, they should be free agents in a few weeks when the team goes bot.

I have two more 19yo bigs on my team who will turn into well rounded players with SB, not sure if their other primary skills will be up to U21 standard but.

I'll be looking at the two 19yos you have today. Derosayro I saw on the transfer list. Had I been in the market for a trainee I'd have been interested as I did like the look of him. It was either him or a starter for me and being greedy for wins made me pick the starter. Hypocritical perhaps for someone trying to convince people of the benefits of training but that how it goes sometimes.

Incidentally for anyone reading, autopiloting players on 1 on 1 forwards is probably (ie most of the time) the best default position you can go with. Its probably the most tsp efficient training and never really hurts any player.

I wanted to buy your boy Barry so badly...but you started the bidding at 1Mil and that's all I had :'(

Hope his new team treats him right, I'm looking forward to seeing how he developes in 2 years' time.

Gratz on getting elected Gully, if you have some time consuming task that a chimp could do then hit me up :D

Thanks. Chimps have been into space, and apparently could write the entire works of Shakespeare given both enough time and enough Chimps. Or is that monkeys? Also, I love every Chimp I see, from Chimpan A to Chimpan Zee. So I'm sure there'll be enough work to go round.

As soon as scouting is done, hopefully before friday, I'll be sorting through offers of help and sending out all my work to everyone to do for me. Oops, I meant I'll be sharing the workload around whilst doing as little as possible myself. No, I mean while doing my share of course.

19yos finished. Again, if you have a 19yo and I haven't just called him up, and he isn't on the transfer list let me know. Its not impossible that I missed someone. By that age, a played would probably need a minimum of 55 tsp, preferably more.

Feet up for a bit now before I move onto the 18yos.

Spent far too long on the 19yos, so I had to move straight to the 21yos, who of course will make up most of the squad. Had some difficulties with the NT Scout (somehow players were being missed) and because I didn't trust it, I had to run it several times before I was happy. This meant the 18yos have gone unscouted. Not a disaster, just means I won't save myself time getting their skills in advance. Part of my reason for posting this week has been to show anyone interested in being u21 coach in future what exactly it entails, and so, in this case, don't follow my mistake. Be more selective about who you look at.

The squad will likely be named over the weekend. Not sure it'll be the full 12 players, I'll decide later. Normally I'd name 12, leaving me 6 free slots for callups during the season. I can pick a squad of 18 but in my opinion it doesn't make sense to do that in one go. For those that don't know players can't be removed from the squad as that lowers enthusiasm so there's no room for mistakes.

Congratz on your election!

i guess i'll kick this topic off: What are your expectations in this U21 group. what kind of record are you aiming for? (these questions can only be answered once you've got an idea of your roster ofcourse)

Tough question, as you know, and one I normally try to avoid, but its fair to ask. I have to say I think the squad looks a little light in terms of numbers, and consequentally game shape is going to be vital, as it always is, but if pushed I'll be disappointed with less than 5-2, though I think if you wanted odds, I suspect 4-3 is perhaps more likely.
