Yeah ALOT of close games between us. A few blowouts, but most have come down to the wire. I figured I was gunna lose to you, do you realize, my team is normally behind early in the season..then in the second half, we get hot. I have no idea why that is. I can't remember the last time I was #1 in the division at the "allstar" break.
I'm not even sure why we get off to slow starts, sooner or later it's gunna bite us in the ass lol. Were a game behind Seattle and Bombers, just creeping lol, or whatever..normal.spot for us to be in.

Good luck this season. Even tho I've made it to the finals twice in a row, your team isn't one to ever take for granted or lightly. To bad this rivalry can't go on forever! Eventually one of us has to leave this league???...right.....right....eventually...it HAS to happen...Even if it's like a mistake by buzzer beater, the system.crashes and we win that way. Lol

Your welcome...all my players salaries were cheap at one point. I didn't pickup Rom, when he was very good. In fact he was sorta crap. I got him for like 60K I think. Pretty cheap. So, your doing things the right way I think. You want a group of good players, not just A player that stands out. Because if you only have a player, then it's tough to play matchups and find weaknesses in your opponents team. Because obviously your team would be depending on one player.
Good luck to you, and I hope to.escape this league, before u do lol

Keep him! Idk, I’m nostalgic. I’m trying to keep most of my guys until they retire.

I get that. My thing is, I wanna get something back for him, and if I wait until he hits the retirement stage (declining big time) then I probably won't get anything back in return.
I forgot what else I was gunna say,.....brain fart!!!!

Romeu has been apart of my team since 5/7/2015, holy damn, I didn't realize I've been playing this game for that long lol. And I've also been in this league, for, well longer than that actually!!!

Incase anyone else is curious. I think players start to decline at age 35. Because I saw about six 35 year olds in the player market and they all had down arrows. (They were C and PF, but I assume that goes for any position) and 34 year olds, didn't have any down arrows.
I think that's helpful to know about, or to keep in mind. That way you have some idea what to expect from your players heading into a certain season.
Romeu has about 2 good seasons left, not including this one. So I could try to sell him, and somebody would get 2 good seasons out of him, or I could keep him, and cough up any amount of money I would of gotten back for him, when he was still a starter. I think that's what I'm gunna do. Because I don't really need anything in return for him. I have my next starting 5 on my bench.

But were see how his season goes, and what he avg. and decide if it's worth holding onto him, and pay em.whatever amount of money he'll be worth next season.
He won't avg. What he typically does for our team, because he's got gunna see ALOT of playing time this season. He'll be a backup player or sometimes won't be on the court. He's been an injured prone player for us, and I think this is the best way to handle things.

Now I have saw the newspapers, and how the world is fallen, because we lost a regular season game, to bombers. Guys, we've never been a 1st half team, or a team that goes 22-0. We're a rough scrappy team.
For those worried about us, because we lost A game or because we dropped in the power rankings...fans, just R-E-L-A-X- and keep coming out to the games, rooting us on.
We wanna win, as badly as y'all do, BUT it's just 1 loss, there's no need to throw dirt on us for it.
I know expectations are high here, but we know what we gotta do, and the mindset we gotta be in to get it done.
See y'all all at the game, Saturday night!

This is what the Newbie Guide says on the forums:

“My player had a drop in his main skills. Why?”
When players reach their 30s, particularly around 32, they tend to experience random skill drops. As they get older (32 years onwards) this becomes increasingly more common. So if your player experiences skill drops it is because he is old.

Although, its important to remember that the Career Extension specialty will slow this process down. There are also cases, like what Twolfs plans, where it would be more beneficial to just demote the aging player to a backup position, rather than selling him. If you can afford it and are trying to win now, that's probably the best option. If you're building, then its not worth it.

Hey Guys..... I sure do miss your league it was fun to be in always active in the forums, wish I was still there, the skill drops on older players vary... I had a career extension trainer and it helped but not as much as I would have thought... my older players dropped just about every week one player or another... i decided after moving up to D3 that I could not compete or afford younger players since the value of my older players had decreased so much that I am doing a complete Rebuild and have some nice trainees to work with and trying to build up some cash for the brutal hit I will take next season as I fall back to D4... hopefully I will demote back into your league and be part of a great group of managers....Mad Scientist
